Ok, here is where I am at...
Had trouble creating EmuNAND, kept getting mount CTR error. I am not sure where I am at or how to proceed, but I do have a SysNAND NAND backup and can still access Hourglass9. I was going to restore SysNAND, but only option is SysNAND restore (keep A9LH). Is that what I want? I am hoping NAND recover will be successful and I hope to still have access to my Gateway, Luma, A9LH, etc. Any help and thoughts appreciated

Yes, SysNAND restore (keep A9LH) is what you want. It's the same as a normal SysNAND restore; it just doesn't affect the region of data where A9LH is installed so you won't have to set it up again.

I was able to restore sysnand. I booted into gateway by pressing down on system boot, and it booted into emunand? That was what I was trying to setup in first place, but it has nothing my sysnand has... no FBI, no bootntr, nothing... is there anything I can do? Help appreciated

You can boot into Hourglass9, go to EmuNAND Backup/Restore, dump your health and safety app, inject FBI over it, use the injected FBI to install FBI as a .cia, and then use Hourglass9 to restore your health and safety app.

Ok, but I wanted all my stuff on sysnand to be on emunand, and still use gateway. Is that possible? My goal was to create emunand, clone sysnand stuff to it, and just use emunand and access gateway and Luma and such...

As in changing one changes the other? In that case, you should just clone your SysNAND to EmuNAND. They will be linked and changing something on one should affect the other.

If I clone sysnand to emunand and they are linked, how would I go about doing system updates? I thought it was only ok to update in sysnand only? What all do I need to do? I still want to be able to access luma, a9lh, gateway, my cia/freeshop games, etc...

You'll just need to update both SysNAND and EmuNAND to keep them on the latest firmware. They will remain linked even if only one of them is updated though.

Make sure to only update your SysNAND in Luma though. Gateway doesn't have FIRM protection for SysNAND so you will lose A9LH if you update SysNAND with Gateway.

I did all the steps and I'm in section 5 now.
It tells me to inject FBI, which is what I did, and to reboot.Then it tells to open Health and Safety, but I can't find it everywhere.
Another weird thing, in the guide it says to update the 3ds, but when I wanted to update it was already on the latest firmware, but with Sys before it.

2) were you planning to sysnand/Emunand set up on purpose?
3) Have you set up luma?

H&S is usually on top left.
Also, try to reinject again?

Maybe the h&s app moved to the end or somewhere else at the home menu? That was my case and I panicked cause I thought the h&s app disappeared; scrolled to the left and found that its at the end of the home menu.

I recently made some posts here, regarding 3d glitch issues that occurs after I update from 9.2 with system update, I dont seem to have it before I update...

I did the entire process before on another 3ds with no issues at all.

But today I checked in my CTRNAND folder using fbi and saw I had made the most common mistake; Coping arm9.bin to ctrnand instead of armloaderhax9.bin.

The console wont start without the sdcard in so i guess there lies the issue or atleast one of them.

Besides this and the strange 3d glitch, everything works normal and as intended.

With a9lh and luma installed, to fix my ctrnand should I redo the whole process? Or should I jump in at some point at the guide? (Been adviced doing a ctrnand transfer prior to finding out this issue.)

Just follow the 3ds.guide if youre after a9lh+luma. It will make backups at the right time.
Otherwise Decrypt9 if your best option.
