Just download the right version of the "otherapp payload" for your firmware version

I have followed the 3ds guide and according to that i have downgraded my new 3ds xl from 11.2.0.35 to 10.4. But in settings menu of 3ds the firmware version is still 11.2.0.35 so should i download "otherapp payload" for 10.4 or for 11.2.0.35???

11.2 as DSiWare Downgrade only downgrades NFIRM, so downgrades to 9.2 are possible

EDIT: Did you make a NAND Backup with dgTool?

Yes, but you would have to buy one of many DSiWare games (Legitimately!!) onto the O3DS and do some steps with it before transferring to the New3DS

You only need to place Launcher.dat and Decrypt9WIP.dat on the root of your SD card. The .nds file goes on your flashcart. You can ignore the other files.

If your 3DS isn't reading the Acekard 2i, it needs to be updated by a normal DS, that can read it. After you've updated the flashcart, it should work.

Thanks for they reply, I used the "browser" version and got Luma3DS configured now. Section III od this guide https://3ds.guide/installing-arm9loaderhax is completed. From here, am I done? I dont need to restore system right?

here is the last step I completed, I rebooted back into the 3ds after running this step.

Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following

• “Autoboot SysNAND”
• “Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R”
• “Show NAND or user string in System Settings”
  

Then what about getting system up to date to play legit games that call for the 11.X.X versions. I read that is can be updated normally and still maintain the hacks, true?

Did you restore your 9.2 NAND? It's highly recommended bfore updating. And yes updating is safe, except updating from 2.1 on n3DS.

Section IV - Restoring the System

Regardless of whether or not you did either of the above two steps, update your 3DS by going to System Settings, then “Other Settings”, then going all the way to the right and using “System Update”

Thanks for answering. I have 4 swords which I used to downgrade the o3DS nfirm, is it ok with a recent brand new N3DS ?

The only exception is as i said a n3DS, which will brick if you update with o3DS FW (ctrtransfer FW) or < 9.2

i was able to do it by OOT3D, the problem now is getting Steelhax, to launch homebrew on the CFw 3DS.

Edit: yeah now it works as soon as i post that message.

im at the transfer stage, as long as the hacked Filed Runners save and game get transferred i should be pretty much good to go, with the rest of the steps.
