guys, I have an old 3ds on ver5.1.0-11E what is the best way of running emulators and game back ups?

luma 3ds? any advice would be greatly received.

Quick question about Pokémon SM and NTR.
I KNOW we can't use cheats plugin, because extended memory, blabla.
But what about LayeredFS ?
NTR doesn't work AT ALL with extended memory games ?
So no LayeredFS too?

I bought 32gb sdhc card for my old 3ds xl, right now im using a 4gb card.
How can i transfer all the files on the new card without breaking my 3ds :o xD i guess its not just copy and paste or is it?

If you use a9lh without emunand, then yes.
If you have emunand, then you need to make some extra steps

i have arm9loaderhax yes, everything was working fine, one day i started my 3ds and it totally looked different, the whole menu and shit, everything. All my installed cias are gone, instead i have weird folders, one is called "qaqa" one "63" and one "64" xD
if i check in system settings for the version it says Emu 11.2.0-35E

Now since im an idiot i try out things out of random moods so
If i hold the R button before even pressing power on, it starts differently.
All those folders turn into gift packages and my games are there again. if i go in the system settings then it says SysE 11.1.0-34E
my games only work in the second way to start my 3ds so in the "not emu" way...im confused xD

If you are using a9lh with no emuNAND, yes.
Otherwise you have to create a new emuNAND on the new card, backup the emuNAND on the old card, and inject the backup to the new card and also paste all the files over.

Download emuNAND9 and make it a Luma payload.
Copy all your files onto your computer as a backup.
Boot into emuNAND9 and choose to format without emuNAND.
Unmount the card and copy all your files back.
Start to reboot. Optionally hold Select so you see the Luma config menu and make sure autoboot sysNAND is enabled.

Your problem was caused by not getting rid of emuNAND correctly (only emuNAND9 is guaranteed to do it properly - windows programs won't)

Quantumcat, I successfully dumped and injected the H&S FBI after doing the ctrtransfer. When I try to open it, it still shows the stock Health and Safety screen instead of FBI? Should I go and fix that with the troubleshoot guide?

Hey there, I have a CFW o3DS with emuNAND setup on the newest firmware. When I try to play Pokemon Sun, the 3DS recognizes the game no problem, but actually trying to load the game results in a "Game Card has been removed" error.

How can I solve this?

Alrighty...

Well starting the 3ds in a normal way results now in being able to play my games normally one thing of my chest
I still got the problem though that my sdhc card is only 4gb in size. i got one with 32gb but how do i transfer all this...stuff from my card on the new one without my 3ds going berserk like "wtf is that card..nope..nope im gonna brick now" xD

Also, I don't want to use a9lh. Last I heard it was really invasive and stuff and I'd honestly just prefer to keep my emuNAND and do as little work as possible to get this working.

Well if you want it to work I think you have the choice of a9lh or updating your sysNAND and losing your hax (assuming you're playing a real cartridge).
Luma through menuhax may work too, since you can use a firmware.bin to change what NATIVE_FIRM it uses. That would be harder than following the easy step-by-step guide and result in a slightly less good setup.

I still wouldnt wanna use a9lh :/ I really just want to keep things as close as to how they are now and do the least amount of work I'd need to do in order to make it work.

Edit: Seems a9lh is no longer a hardmod thing from what I remember a few months ago... Jeez things change so quickly.

No. I don't see it in the home menu after I dumped and injected the FBI. Just straight up stock Health and Safety. Never tried Cthulhu though, but I will give it a shot carefully.

Right, so thank you for your guidance thus far :o But I am getting an issue not outlined in the guide.

At the part where i am trying to boot into Decrypt9 from browser, it tries to boot into my emuNAND instead of Decrypt9. How can I fix this?

Also, what *exactly* am I trying to do? :/ Install arm9lh then what do I do? I'm very confused.
