  1. Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following:
    • "Autoboot SysNAND"
    • "Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R (A9LH)"
    • "Show NAND or user string in System Settings"
    • "Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM"
      • This may cause crashes for some injected GBA Virtual Consoles
      • If some games do not work properly, disable this option and try again
  2. If you are using a New 3DS, you should also enable the following:
    • "New 3DS CPU" to "Clock+L2(x)"
      • This will increase the framerate of many games, but may cause instability in others
      • If some games do not work properly, disable this option and try again

ok, kind of thinking something got fucked up atm. I'm at this point

Section IV - Injecting FBI

I just did the system update. everything's been going fine up until now. This step is NOT working.

  1. Open Hourglass9 from arm9loaderhax by holding (Start) on boot
Nothing happens when I'm holding start on boot. Just going to the main menu. Can't get into the homebrew menu either. What's up.

Did you name the Hourglass9.bin file start_H9.bin? Did you place it into your luma/payloads folder? Remember, you also need to press Start then press the Power button for it to work.

ok i'm all set! Dunno how i missed the renaming step, it was in the correct folder.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

ugh, ok, not done then. My main goal was video streaming. For that I should not have updated. I now need to downgrade again if that's even possible. Do I just follow the same instructions as before?

You do not need to downgrade at all if you followed Plailect's guide from A to Z. All you need to the updated version of BootNTR and a n3DS. Install this, follow the instructions in the thread, and then try to set up NTR video streaming.

k two more questions - any way to stream regular DS titles, and is it normal for FPS to be kind of sluggish? Using sonic 2 as a test and even on the main menu the bottom screen is quite laggy, cmd prompt window shows 31 fps average.

Am I better off getting a cap card mod?

I thought you couldn't stream DS games with NTR? Where are you seeing how to do this because I'm genuinely curious? I'm sure a capture card mod would be better in the long run but that can get expensive. NTR streaming also involves your internet connection so if you don't have a good connection, the lag gets worse. Even using normal NTR debugger/NitroStream settings, I've noticed that the bottom screen is always a bit laggy.

I am seriously outdated on 3DS hacking scene (Seriously though. Wtf is this Luma 3DS or CFW) so excuse me on that regard.

My question is: I have an O3DS with sysNAND of 4.2 with Gateway 3.7.1 and EmuNAND v11.x (Can't remember the last ones). Can I safely update the launcher.dat by simply replacing the old one? Or do I have to go around some stuffs before I can make sure I'm not in the process of bricking my system?

I have two CIAs installed and... Gateway emuNAND. That's it. I have no clue on whatever Luma3DS or CFW people are talking about, therefore I have none of them installed on my system. I asked this question because I was reading somewhere that updating GW emuNAND to its latest version bricks the system (Or was it updating the launcher.dat itself?) and I don't plan on malfunctioning my system ever.
