ive used the correct region pack as my 3ds is from eu. its a new 3ds xl on 9.6.0-24E

i also got all my files from the Plailect guide

i powered on the 3ds fine with SD card OUT, should i format my sd card and redump everything? and reinstall homebrew launcher?

when i go to the system settings, it says im on 9.2.0-20E, am i done with step 1?

when i reboot, i think it just stays in a black screen. waited for a minute. however, i can put it in sleep mode and turn it off normally

i cant access homebrew launcher either

i think its a soft brick, am i screwed and have to force to update to 11.0?

No, your device is fine, same thing happened to me.
Just remove the sd card and try turn on your 3ds again. Will probably start on fw 9.2 but with partial downgrade.
You should repeat the downgrade part again.

No. This is a normal thing that should happen if your doing the guide correctly.

Nope, they're not corrupted. Just go back and try again.

Yep. Your SD files is fine, just repeat the downgrade part again until is over without errors.

Insert the sd card when the 3ds is on. Also, what does it say your firmware is?

Start your 3ds without SD card insert. After your 3ds boots on home screen insert your sd and try again the downgrade.

You don't need reboot your 3ds, Open the homebrew channel trough the web browser.

i think ive completed the downgrade, it says reboot in 10 secs, after rebooting. im stuck with blackscreen again

Do i turn it off and do this step?

1. Navigate to /Nintendo 3DS/(32 Character ID)/(32 Character ID)/extdata/00000000/ on your SD card
   • EUR Region: Delete 00000098
   • JPN Region: Delete 00000082
   • USA Region: Delete 0000008f
   • KOR Region: Delete 000000A9
   • TWN Region: Delete 000000B1
2. Reinsert your SD card into your 3DS and boot
