Hi guys,

I´ve been reading through the forum and just wanted to confirm here some of the information I gathered from so many different topics, my situation is:

I recently bought a 3DS XL and it is updated to the latest firmware (7.2.0-17U). I want a flashcart to play DS games, while I will keep buying and going online with the 3DS ones.

- According to what I read, my best options are the R4i Gold (cheaper and not blocked for now) and the DsTwo (not so cheap, but has never been blocked). Is that right?
- Can I access the e-shop normally even with the flashcart inserted?
- I don´t need to buy the micro sd card that they sell with the flashcart. I can just buy it and use one of my common micro sd cards to put the roms. Is that it?

So I finally get games running on GW 2.2 with 4.2 emu, however why does it always revert to classic mode when I exit and re-enter system settings?

its just how the 3ds work, when you leave system settings it triggers a soft reset which kicks you from emunand

Hey guys,

When I'm trying to use my Blue Card to launch the Gateway Installer, I have a problem of having to
1) Launch Deep Labyrinth 2) Get an option to open the microsd card, slot 2 card, or a favorites folder 3) Then after opening the "Microsd Card folder" be able to run the Gateway Installer.

The problem is, I'm 99% sure that this is incorrect, and I have an error of the 3ds forcing me into sleep mode, saying that the "Software closed" whenever I try to launch the Gateway Installer.
I know from a video that you're able to directly be able to launch the Gateway without accessing the Micro SD card folder first;
what's ironic is that I was able to due this fine before, but I just can't seem to get it done now.

I don't think it's the Micro Sd Card (since I tried two different FAT 32 ones), or the Blue Card (tried with two blue cards, and a DS two) that all suffer from this problem. Anyone know what I can do to launch the Gateway Installer?

I'm very new to this gateway thingy (It used to be much simplier when it came to just NDS lol)
I haven't got a gateway, but I would like to ask:

1) If I would like to buy an original retail game, does having gateway affects it (ie. can I still insert the real cartridge instead of having to dump the original game and insert it into gateway's sd card?)

2) Is the risk of bricking still there if I use an actual real game cartidge? Is there a main thread somewhere that talks about taking precaucious methods when using the gateway?

3) Is there a way to play online without getting banned? (For example: Using your own retail cartridge through gateway)

2) Probably not. There hasn't been any reports of bricking since gateway released omega
3) Nobody knows if you can get banned for playing online using Gateway. But thus far, ninty hasn't taken any actions.
Using retail cartridges to go online is even less of a risk.

Yes, amongst other features such as firmware spoofing (so you can run games that require higher firmware than 4.5)

Hi. I'm still running Omega 2.1 and want to try the online feature in 2.2 but my problem is I scared to turn the 3DS wifi switch on. Still stuck in my head that if I turned it on, my 3DS might update to the latest fw version. I don't understand anything on the Emunand thing. Any super newbie step by step tutorial to set up the online on 2.2. I have searched google and youtube but I can't findat I'm looking for. I'm scared to mess my 3DS up. Sorry.

The thing is, my previous 3ds got stolen and I've been trying to make nintendo unlink my account on it, and since I've bought a 3ds on 4.5 firmware with gateway ,I want to access dlc's and stuff I've bought on the eshop previously.

Also I know it's currently not possible to buy anything from the nintendo eshop, but when it will be available again and linking an nintendo account id is possible, will my purchases go on it?

Of course they can. That's the sole purpose of their existence.

you can watch porn on the 3ds without a flashcard

but yeah you can play your "backups", but you need a 3ds on 4.5 or lower firmware version

Based on my hours of reading through threads, uh yeah you can 'play things' if I got ur drift correctly.

But currently because of the quite "recent' gateway's brick code and stuff, things seems a little unstable until further testing of the new omega firmware and stuff.
Also, eshop is currently not working too because of the new 7.2 update by Nintendo. Until gateway manages to crack it, you wont be able to access it.

i.e: offline playing is fine, if you looking for online gaming then it might have some problems (correctly me if im wrong, still very new to this)

Thanks for the help. Just to clarify I didn't mean porn lol. I meant do any of the flashcards reliable yet and it seems like they are not. I don't want to brick my 3ds so I'll wait it out.

Seconding this question.
Will I be able to legitly buy anything from the eshop (provided it works) when using the emuNAND? I tried looking ard but can't seem to find the answer =/
