3DS has broken 3D slider and can’t get past setup and play DS games

I bought a 3DS XL a couple weeks ago and it has a broken 3D slider. It came hacked so I can install hack programs on it. I tried using Cubic Ninja to get to the home screen but it crashed the system. I also tried downloading a .3dsx file for the 2DSaver program but nothing happened. I also tried using a program that remapped the slider to Select+R or Select+L to adjust the 3D, but it did nothing. I bought a replacement 3D slider, but while I wait for it is there any way to play DS games? I can access 3DS games by pressing RABXY on startup but I can’t use that to get into DS games.

Use parental control to disable the 3D permanently?

Should have made it more clear, I can’t get past the setup screen because it’s asking me to push the 3D slider all the way up but I can’t because it’s broken, any way to play DS games is good

You need enable the parental control under 3DS setting to disable the 3D before you run DS games.

Otherwise, use needle to push the broken slider down.

I can’t get to settings or the home screen. I wish I could use something to turn on the 3D but I found the slider missing when I opened up the system.

By the way the 3D can be on while you play DS games, it just doesn’t do anything

Slide to south - 3D mode is off and slide to north - 3D mode is on.

Have you tried needle, toothpick or other is small enough to move the slider?

I can’t do anything with it, the box thing is missing

You could change the ribbon cable as a last resort, typically the cable can become loose and fragile when dropped.

I bought one but I want to play DS games before that it will be a couple weeks before it gets here

If you don't care about using the home menu then you can try holding the A, B, X, Y, and R buttons with a cartridge in to bypass the home menu.

I did the RABXY thing and can get into 3DS games but not DS games. The DS games work fine (tested in an original DS) but the 3DS just sends me to the setup screen

It works but it has a broken hinge and the L and R buttons don’t work well

I tried something called “Rehid fork for broken sliders” and it didn’t work so I’m trying to get help on that

I think you'd need to be able to get to the home menu to use that.

When booting, hold Select to get into Luma's config menu, and make sure "Hbmenu autoboot" is enabled for "3DS". This should tell the system to automatically load a boot.3dsx file when powered on.

I just get an error
