Anyway this is from go nintendo:

http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=131993

So these are my guesses as to what we don't know and they will probably announce:

Rumble built in

New Online unveiled (No FCS!!!)

Transfer old FC data
(I've done this quite some time, I accidently take my friends DS and try go online but it issues me a new friend code. Now what Im saying have a feature like this in 3DS which will allow you to transfer the FC on your old DS and not have to create a brand new FC. You do know that existing DS games will still hav FC)

Minimum 4GB internal storage

Boot off the SD card

Support SDXC (32GB to 2TB)

Support Wireless N

Finally play MP3 and allows for MP4 usage.

Charger Port is now a mini B/ Micro USB connector or……
….. Charging Dock is also a USB bridge

Unviel the new OS, similar to the old 360 dashboard (XMB and DSi thing is old fashioned)

Camera upgraded to 2 MP and the front facing shoots HD video (HD video a little too far)

Features 3DS VOIP and Video chat services (Why video chat? Well Gamefreak were the first to have the dev kit)

Decent Web Browser

Masive Multiplayer support, no longer just 4 player games, so now we can play mario kart with 12 players.

IR Port will work in the same way as Pokemon Black and White, quick game setup no more searching for people, so wireless maybe used less than it is now.

What do you think? why isn't it viable and give your suggestions and we could compile it into one post

damn that means they're keeping FCs....
Nooooo, this is speculation, and what I meant by it was so that you can register your old pokemon games etc to the 3DS with out having to have a brand new friend code. Ofcourse the old games will still have friend codes

speculating a rumble feature?
won't that be annoying?
even making the screen shake when the 3d is on?
would there even be a chance of some sort of internal damage or off align something internally?
iono, just can't see what the point of rumble lol

But not bad speculations.
especially the multiplayer one. liking that one xD

I was def thinking bout the 3DS coming with a usb charger or there will somehow be an official one made to buy. Hoping for video playback support but what if they hold back because they fear kids will put porn on it and show it off in public

? But it wouldn't make sense because the DSi has cameras and the 3DS will too meaning you can take pictures of anything and store it on the systems.

Rumble simply won't be an option. If Nintendo cared any further about it, they would've released a DSLite version of the rumble pack here in the US, and notice how almost no developers bother to include the feature.

Internal storage is up in the air, but if Nintendo wants people to download their games on day one, they need some sort of internal storage. It all depends on the size of the downloadable games, but I'd bet they'll just rely on SD support for this, similar to the Wii.

I'd like to think the new OS will be complimentary to the 3D effects of the system, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a coverflow, or have selected menu items "Pop" out of the screen when highlighted.

I'm still not sure if Nintendo really cares about multimedia support, so they might not support MP3(4), and various video formats. It would be nice if they did, but they don't need to make the 3DS into a PSP or iPod for it to succeed.

I wouldn't expect the camera to exceed what has been announced, in terms of megapixels. Considering that the images won't be viewable in 3D outside of the 3DS, there's really no need for such a high resolution.

I hope the web browser is decent too, but Nintendo is going to have to reach beyond the Opera browser currently available on the DS and Wii. The PS3 should be the model for how a browser should be on a gaming system.

I also expect there to be a cap on SD(XC) size, much like how Microsoft limits the Xbox 360's USB drive support to 16gb, for obvious reasons.

2 tb on a ds why would you even have a 2 tb sd
I didn't invent the SDXC ask the SD Association why.
He means on the 3DS. Even 64 GB is overdoing it.
Well the game sizes are increasing and if nintendo will add multimedia support you will need that space. Personally Im tired of watching films in .DPG format
rolleyes.gif
. Also I have a PSP and well 8GB doesn't do it, if the 3DS is hacked, and people will be wanted many games. Remember games could go over 2GB.

And that's assuming games are going to be out on the SD card in the first place. We still don't know that yet. In any case, using SDXC is not doing Nintendo or us any favours. Its just too much of a risk to put something that a very small minority is gong to use. SDHC is perfectly fine for the majority of people. Also, the 3DS is not going to be used primarily as a multimedia system. It will be capable of playing multimedia, but it will not be primarily a multimedia system and that's the important distinction. SDXC is just unnecessary when SDHC goes up to 32GB.

It was just some speculation thing, didn't say that these feature were going to be included. SDXC card slots support all other SD cards so whats the major problem? I don't know who who would want that memory but somebody might.

anyway not saying that these will be in there, I know most of them won't be in there, just guess as much as your imagination can stretch, I just though of what's missing from current DS.

Boot off the SD card

I strongly doubt that would ever happen.

Right now, i dont see nintendo going for sdxc support, as do some of the other members that posted before me, maybe in a revision or 2, once that format becomes more affordable and mainstream.

As i have said before, i would really like the resolution of the cameras to go up just a little bit. 1) because im looking at the pics ive taken (in good sunlight and balance) yet they still look grainy to me. If they upped it to at least 2mps, the 3D pics and video chat would look alot better.

The rest of the things you listed, I wont comment on as so far some of the things even nintendo has mentioned is still up in the air until we see the final product and specs in order to fully speculate and decipher. But there are going to be alot of people working to see that the 3DS is hacked, but whether that extent grows into how the extent on the DS is now, who knows.

Most of the things I've posted I know won't come true but this is pure speculation your imagination is open.

I by no means meant to offend, but the fact of the matter is that added features = added cost. Nintendo won't invest their time and money into something that would increase the cost of the system to implement something that hasn't even been proven to be successful. Sure, some people may need it, but it's just not worth it. I understand that this is all just speculation, but SDXC is not within reason. Nintendo is very much like Apple, in that they use old, inferior hardware, but they spend a lot of time making sure that hardware works well for the consumer experience.
