O3DS are not rare at all and a 4.x O3DS isn't really something important anymore. Any console between 4.1 and 9.2 can be used and any new O3DS/2DS comes with 9.2 or below. Used ones aren't that hard to find either altho it's always important to ask the seller if he doesn't specify the firmware.

N3DS consoles with exploitable firmware are the rare ones.

Another thing, Should I update to 9.2? is there any point to? and is it even possible without a gateway? Sorry for all the questions lol
