Nintendo needs to get notified that by now, there are potentially hundreds of 3DS users already meddling with converters and are putting full-length 3D films into their SD cards, much like myself. They need to take advantage of the fact that the 3DS has just now become an unofficial portable 3D movie player. And yet they still haven't given us the promised 3D Hollywood movie contents.

Seriously, instead of movie tie-ins, why not movies themselves? I'd be broke on a bi-weekly basis then, and so will lots of others. It'll be like Monster Hunter in Japan all over again, except this time it's in the western regions and with regular movie buffs. That's an entirely new market right there.

Well, they already send movie trailers and stuff. =O
And I like sports channels so I'm actually looking forward to getting sports vids.

lol, if movie trailers is what they meant by 3D Hollywood content, then I give.

i suppose Europeans could use this app to get some 3D fix for their football pansies... I mean, fancies.

This application is complete crap, in function it's identical to Nintendo video, which is up to four videos saved to the memory with an expiration date (usually a week).
But the content is crap, all they've got is some sports bloopers and accidents with a really bad 3D effect added in post-production. Viewing them doesn't make sense to the eyes, like a pair of white sleeves that seems to float off a blue shirt, or a very flat face with eyes and nostrils that sink in at an extreme.

I'm leaving this app open for an hour just so I can give it that 1-star review on the eShop. It doesn't deliver any real sports content that people might be interested in, like football highlights, just accident footage, not even with recorded live commentary.

Like Ferofax said, Nintendo need to wise up because they can't continue to produce 3D video content like this. Nintendo video's weekly publications are lacking, and downloading actual applications with an embedded video player is silly. Although actually having entire TV episodes of Kirby Right Back At Ya on the eShop is pretty cool, just not 3D.
The unofficial 3D video player makes this all so much better, get rid of the silly 10 minute playback limit, make it a dedicated video player, and it's a golden app.

Yeah, I just watched a video on the app and functionally and aesthetically, it looks exactly like Nintendo Video. Honestly, an application where you can stream videos of your choosing from a wide selection would have been much better. Although I suppose it doesn't really concern me as I'm not European.

I hope Nintendo wises up and releases an actual 3DS video-player or at least a movie application where you can purchase and play 3D movies. There's a large opportunity for Nintendo to make a lot of money doing so, I can't fathom why Nintendo isn't taking advantage of this opportunity.

That was someone else actually, I contributed another one. :)

The Nintendo video app itself isn't too bad, just not a very good way to distribute content as opposed to being allowed to stream stuff.
A "sports movies" app with no real sports videos asides from blooper reals, with content released weekly is going to be weak. More-so considering you can watch these WATTS ZAP things online, and without a botched 3D effect added to 2D source footage.

Just had this appear on my 3DS menu (though still had to download it)... I have the same opinion as everyone else it seems, it's a pointless app.
