I've been googling for a few hours, and found a CPx3 emulator, MAME emu, and GBA emu. Is there a list somewhere with up-to-date lists of homebrew for the 360? Sort of like wiibrew? I'm interested in all the emulators available, are there any media players or anything like that? I'm just curious to see what else is available for my JTAG'd box, I've got all my USB loading and gaming taken care of, now I'm interested in what ever else is available for 360, homebrew-wise.

http://www.xbins.org/ is about as "comprehensive" as it gets for this sort of thing although http://www.hb-released.com/ does a better job of listing the newest homebrew out there.
For what it is worth emulation (and most homebrew) has not really moved beyond proof of concept and is nowhere near the level we see on the wii and certainly nowhere near the original xbox (there are ways to get original xbox homebrew working with the hacked emulator ( http://www.digitalreality.co.nz/xbox360/?p=290 ) but it is not "production grade").

At present we have a fairly decent genesis/megadrive emulator, a gba emulator and most of the other 8 bit and 16 bit era consoles put in an appearance alongside the odd homebrew port.
http://x360.gx-mod.com/modules/mydownloads/viewcat.php?cid=8 has more on this as well as probably being about as close as what you asked for. It is a French forum but should be easy enough to navigate if you do not understand it.
An N64 emulator is being worked upon (same people behind the GBA emulator) and doing very well as far as things go but this seems to be more an exercise in coding right now. Also at time of posting the website is down.

Video has not moved much beyond proof of concept either (there was demo called Ced2911 Video Player Alpha quite early on but nothing further).

If you think about it you can only have homebrew on a jtag, and only a handful of people own jtags. And out of that handful of people who own jtags very little use them for homebrew, and the rest just use them for MW2 lobbies(AKA n00bs and little kids whose mommys bought them one). So there probably wont be much development for 360 homebrew. And if you think about it its been about a year since the jtag hack has been discovered, compare it to the Wii and the Wii was about at the homebrew channel and backup loaders after a year.

Yeah I realize that, I just figured there'd be more homebrew than there is

now to highjack this thread... sorta.

fast; mentioning the hacked xbox emu above, have you gotten this to work on the 9199 kernel firmware?
trying to boot anything causes a reset of the system.
ive tried recopying all the files over multiple times with power downs and whatnot, to no success
any news what im doing wrong possibly?

note: had an emulator booting, and xb1 games working, now nothing...

@ overlord00- It sounds like you have freeBOOT 0.32 without dashlaunch 1.0. Rebuild a freeBOOT image with dashlanch and both full mem edit and xbox 1 backwards compatibility will work simultaneously.

How did you get your GBadvanced emulator to work? I cant get it too.

http://lovemhz.teamxelove.com/ is the official site but it has not been working for a few days now (I would have linked it back when I wrote up the initial reply if it had been) but search around for lovemhz and most of the updates were copied and pasted onto news sites when they came so you should not be missing much/anything.

At this stage though the original xbox has a better N64 emulator.

yo, cant get to this site, it reckons it cant find it and also says its got a duplicate IP address...
on a second note; whats the best settings and whatnot yo use for a xbox n64 emulator...
was using Surreal64xxx_B5 before, but couldnt figure out the rom path info.

also, presuming this is the same guy as reading on another site, he/team has discontinued due to personal reasons....

The original xbox emulator had 3 cores as I recall that emulate by different methods (dynamic recompilation through varying levels of more "traditional" emulation) so it is done on a per rom basis (and depending on the rom maybe even per level/section).
You also have a few video plugins to choose from.

Try it and see is the main thing here although http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=260140 has some quite outdated stuff considering the new main fork is http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...714836&st=0 which saw a release about two and half months back.

Rom path info should just be the location of the roms- the original xbox had several partitions which manifested as drive letters although you most likely will be using the "e:" partition or if you have a large drive or formatted it to gain the extra 2 gigs the later models had you also have the f: partition. Whatever directory you put the roms in is where you point it at although you can just as easily browse to the roms.

    More on the partitions: http://www.xbox-linux.org/wiki/Xbox_Hard_Disk_Partitioning

My bad I should have clicked, I am afraid I do not know at present how the 360 emulates the original xbox partitions.
