hello I'm getting a 4tb usb HDD and I will convert it from GPT to MBR.

will this work do all HDD work with fat32 MBR and over 2tb and on a wii...

I am using

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=8&v=pi4QA460NpM

I have been told that I need 32kb clusters for it as well not 64k clusters.
I’ve tried and with success only once formatting a drive bigger then 2tb to fat 32. Many failed attempts at anything larger. But, yes to answer your question. Fat 32 with 32 kB klusters. Please let me know if you figure this out.fyi the only drive bigger then 2tb (4tb) that I was able to format was a western digital. It is mbr fat32 32kb

MBR and FAT32 are not limited to "2 TB", they never have been... however, they are limited to 4 terasectors (which, with sectors having been 512 bytes for the longest time, happens to be equal to 2 TB; and much worse, some software assumes sectors will never be different than 512 bytes)

If you have a new disk that both uses internally 4096 byte sectors, AND reports that as the minimum addressable sector size (AND whatever sata to usb converter you're using both supports that, and doesn't meddle with it in the name of compatibility, AND all operating systems/programs you will be using won't be confused), yes, you will be able to address 16 binary terabytes with those technologies!

These disks are called "Advanced Format 4Kn"
