Hacking 3.61+ games on 3.60 is playable?

Edit 2 : looks like you have to edit the game param.sfo on your pc just use SFO Editor then load the game param.sfo if you are connected with usb then change PSP2_DISP_VER from 03.650 to 03.600 and save after this you should reboot your vita i hope this helps with everyone with the same problem thanks to Teddyninja20

I can guarantee that this won't work. otherwise, that would be a major oversight. the game is encrypted using newer keys, keys that don't exist on 3.60.

What version spoofing are you running? you suppose to spoof on 3.67

That would imply that you'd need two Vita's, one on 3.65 to dump the games, and one on 3.60 to transfer those dumps and play them.

the software version is located in the header with encrypted files on the ps3. that part seems to be encrypted or compressed or both with vita ones. regardless, the PARAM.SFO would have no effect on that. the software version may be in the decrypted version via maidump tool. I have no mai dumps to check though. I downloaded nonpdrm versions of every game I had.

btw, I forgot to mention this, but I think vita stuff is using zlib compression. you can uncompress plugins like adrenaline with simply zip.

edit: in hex, it should read 78 DA with a third byte being the level of compression. the ps3 uses this too (check out my icontex tutorial on the ps3 where each icon is compressed with varying levels of compression; all can be uncompressed with simply zip).

Firstly, you need to edit param.sfo file.

Secondly, after installing the game with Maidump tool, you need to switch game loading to 4.Use original eboot (no p.support)

we know that lots of people updated their system and some of them (who want to help) are dumping their own games already. that's not an arguable situation. you can also make requests for dumps like early days of vita piracy.

don't know. if you look at homebrew in hex, it has a header with I think 1.00 (SCE) followed by an elf compressed using zlib. the header for games seems to either be ompressed/encrypted or both. it doesn't seem to be zlib compressed, yet homebrew is. zlib is usually the first byte of a particular line. I tried searching for it with a compressed eboot, but it wasn't the first byte which leads me to my original assumption. homebrew is like ps3 content with a header and a firmware version at offset 80 iirc. this tells the system which key to use. while it may be possible to use decrypted content without the pfs on 3.60, who's to say the content is complete. that's what nonpdrm is for. the work.bin and the rif seem to be identical to that, yet the rif with mai dump seems to be full (i.e not the same as the work.bin). this is based on my own observation.

I don't use Mai dump.

I own a PS Vita with 3.65 Enso and a PS TV with 3.60 Enso so I did the full process with Undertale:
- Download the game using NPS Browser and install it on my PS Vita 3.65
- Download the game patch through official Sony process once the game was installed
- Use MaiDumpTools (modded for 3.65 with RePatch 0.4) to make a game dump (note that I wasn't able to dump game patch because the option was not displayed by modded MaiDumpTool)
- Copy the dump result on my computer to modify "param.sfo" with a hexadecimal editor: I just replaced the text "3.65" with "3.60"
- Copy the modified dump to my PS TV 3.60 "ux0:mai" folder
- Install the dump using unmodded MaiDumpTool
- Run it: the game starts without any problem (I did not go beyond start menu)

So for septical people, I confirm that 3.65 games can be "converted" for 3.60 (but a limitation seems that tools current state doesn't allow game patch dump).

I think DLC can be dumped (the option appears in modded MaiDump Tool, I saw it on Darkest Dungeon). However, if the DLC requires a patch, it won't work.
