Hacking 3.4U updating to softmod

Ok, normally i would just mess around because i would have a backup file that bootmii could restore, but this week sadly is past that era, This wii is a 3.4U wii and i installed homebrew channel and bootmii no problem. But in order to install other things such as custom IOS's i need to update my wii. I lack usable unsecured internet at college and i know there is a way to safely do it but decided to try asking on here.

Edit: Sorry forgot the actual question, basically how do you update your wii safely from 3.4 offline. Im decent at doing this normally but i don't have a backup i can use on this wii so i dont want to screw it up.

You best way would be to use ModMii. Just tell it what firmware version you'd like to have and it'll download everything for you.

You don't need to update your Wii to install "other things like cIOSs" btw, they'll work fine on 3.4 also.

custom IOS's work on any ios for a fact. If you want to update offline you can use wads or waninkoko's 4.2 updater i think he had an offline one.
