I have the oldest Wii Homebrewed, with 3.4. Are there any advantages by upgrading to 4.3?
Just make sure your IOS and cIOS are up to date, no need to upgrade, only advantage I can think of is the SD card menu which is accessible from homescreen...
How do I make sure the IOS and cIOS are up to date?
Is there a automatic update thing for these IOS?
4.1 is the answer. just make sure you don't stub ios 60.
LOL! My Wii got bricked using Preloader. Luckily I have BootMii so I can still access the Homebrew Channel, but the WiiMenu is totally gone. At first I got a message from Wii security system: "Corrupt files on system blablabla. read manual".. But now, when I try to go to the Wii menu my TV just shows the "no signal" thing..
Is there any way to get the WiiMenu back? Or just restore the factory settings og something?
reinstall wii menu with MMM
Sorry for being an absolute mothernoob, but what do I do after i got MMM?
load it and select manage wii menu and select install wii menu 4.1 from NUS if u have internet connection on ur wii
is it not easier to use modmii?
modmii will download the same files
I used to have 3.4(before it was bricked ), you recomend 4.1 more than 4.2 or 4.3?
maybe... never used nus... just modmii. btw can nus download files to make a wii have all original ios files and stuff if i want my wii to be in a so close original state as possible?
I think you misunderstand my post
I said him to reinstall SM with MMM and say MMM to download files automatically from NUS
Thanks Porobu. It worked . A little off topic, but is there any way to get some backgrounds to the Wii Menu? I think ive seen some of this on youtube..
I say the only theme worth wild is the Black wii menu or the Normal wii menu.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BRICK PROTECTION. Priiloader / bootmii as boot2
Download Mymenu 1.3 - http://www.mediafire.com/?zzmt2ywlywz
Download Darkwii .mym file - http://bit.ly/fwJ2VB
When the .csm file is created rename it black.csm and put it on your sd card
Put the mymenuify app onto your sd card in apps folder - http://wiibrew.org/wiki/MyMenuify
Run mymenuify from the HBC.
Select the .csm file and install.
Yes, there are some Wii themes that you can get for the Wii Menu. However, they are EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Make sure you have Priiloader and/or BootMii at boot2 with a NAND backup before even attempting to modify the theme. Get the program called MyMenuify I believe... search it up.
