Gaming 3.2 Firmware + SSBB

hey,
got a little question about the new firmwareupdate and super smash brothers brawl.
If i update my Wii to 3.2, will ssbb-jpn update my wii or will i be able to just play it? or is there another way to just play it without updating my wii from ssbb-jpn?
