Hacking 2DS XL Crashing When Opening Home Menu

Im having some issues with the home menu where you change your screen brightness, it keeps crashing my console when it try to open it. Im running Luma if thats anything? Any help would be appreceated

First step is to take out your SD card and see if that changes anything.

It gets rid of everything on my home page but the menu still crashes

Okay, that probably rules out messing with things on the SD card, then.

Do you have the latest Luma installed? Also, are you using a custom theme?

do you have a backup of a previous safe state?

i had a similar issue where the home menu was causing my ds to just crash completely, and the solution was to revert to a backup from when it functioned, sadly for me, it was one from when i modded it for the first time. though you should make a backup of its current state just in case it doesn't work, so you can restore it
