Yeah, two totally unrelated questions, but here they go :

- Due to a theft at my home, my 2DS fell on the ground. Since then, it doesn't boot at all, despite the charging still happening. I suspect a problem I can't resolve without sending my 2DS to Nintendo (can anyone confirm that ?), but said 2DS is downgraded and has several .cias on the SD card, are there ways to hide all that ?
- Outside of that, I have a o3DS XL on 9.9.0-26E with Ironhax and the nag on the browser, how should I downgrade it, and which steps should I follow from there ?

Thanks in advance.

For the 2DS, do a hardmod and restore a NAND backup. NEVER send a console into Nintendo unless you want it updated to the latest firmware with all of your hax removed!

For the O3DSXL, use SafeSysUpdater to downgrade

Step 1: Install Menuhax
Step 2: Download the *ehm* 9.2.0 Firmware from a certain site
Step 3: Use SafeSysUpdater to downgrade

As for the 2DS, sounds like either the screen broke, or a ribbon cable came loss from it falling on the floor.

I doubt it. Taking apart a 2DS doesn't seem so hard, just be careful of the cables.

Try and take the cable out and reinsert them.

I just checked, but no cable unplugged.
It still could have been bumped ajar and lost contact even though it looks fine.

But easier than checking the cables is checking the screen for fractures.
Hold it up under a light at an angle and look for any kind of scratches or lines that you don't remember having, as those likely indicate a cracked display.
As you may know the screens on the 2ds is actually one large screen unit that usually cracks as a whole with most stress fractures seemingly happening under and around the plastic bar in the middle of the display.

I've found with some of the damaged 2ds unit's I've received can still boot despite not wanting to if I apply light pressure around the cracked screen or housing of the unit by twisting it slightly.
You might want to give that a shot as once it powers on you could easily confirm that the display is shattered, but you should still be able to tell just by inspecting it closely with the power off too.

You're sure that's not the 2ds side rail bumpers (which ship quite loose from the house but often settle overtime) you're hearing or the pedometer/gyroscope?
The pedometer floatything feels to be located near the L button.

Well, it turns out the answer was something else entirely.

During the fell, the console got stuck into sleep mode. By throwing a fit while examinating it, I used the switch several times while keeping the power button pressed. And the console booted on again, with no apparent problem.

Guess we can consider this solved. Thanks everyone for the help.

i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
