It almost feels a waste to do this for a single release but given how rare RPGs are on the 360 I thought I might as well do it. Fifa10 pre'd shortly after the last post but I went back and edited it so you can read about it there if you want (old threads at the end of the post).

The usual reason for these posts is to showcase the latest 360 releases with English language in them and possibly the odd Japanese release if it is of note (very rare on the 360) and unless people request otherwise it will stay that way for the time being. While these posts should have the necessary info for you to sort things you may want more in which case <a href="http://www.abgx.net/filename/?ch=6" target="_blank">http://www.abgx.net/filename/?ch=6</a> has release names and a great deal of info for those new to this 360 business (while it is great for new games the back catalogue is where it shines) and <a href="http://www.ludibria.com" target="_blank">http://www.ludibria.com</a> deserves some credit for the NFOs I use in these posts.

It is covered in the various 360 FAQs but I include it here as well; 360 games can be region locked (the choice falls to the developers/publishers) and there is no real way to tell if one will be before it is dumped other than German area releases usually are.
Most people (namely those not rocking a homebrew enabled 360) will find region locking still exists on the 360 but there is no great worry unless you are sporting a Japanese 360 as game releases usually fall very close together region wise these days (usually within a week and this still usually means before street dates).
There now exists some new homebrew methods (provided you have not done the August 11th 2009 update or any subsequent ones you should be able to get homebrew or get it in the near future your xbox model depending) and there is talk of a region lock workaround or more accurately updating the existing workarounds.
There are two main options being considered:
    1) Flashing a different region code- unless you have a dual nand chip (one region on each) this is a fairly long winded process but it does work.
    2) A "rebooter" app- nothing has yet been tried with this newest iteration of the homebrew exploit (a much older incomplete version exists) but the general idea is to (soft) reboot into a custom kernel/similar which handily ignores things like region checking.
At present these are far from end user level though with the only thing approaching those realms being the compiled version for the Xenon- the first iteration of the 360.
The curious among you may want to read up with <a href="http://www.free60.org/wiki/Main_Page" target="_blank">http://www.free60.org/wiki/Main_Page</a> , <a href="http://www.eurasia.nu/wiki/index.php?pagename=Free60JtagHack" target="_blank">http://www.eurasia.nu/wiki/index.php?pagename=Free60JtagHack</a> and <a href="http://www.xboxhacker.net" target="_blank">http://www.xboxhacker.net</a> being the places to do it. Any discussion on those sites will be of a highly technical nature and a similar level of knowledge/ability is expected of you if you decide to join in.

In these threads street dates for the games will be mentioned if truly necessary although you can quite easily look it up and make your own decision- as far as we know playing games ahead of time does not affect things but these prerelease games can sometimes be bad dumps, dumps from non retail sources, bad packing of dumps and so on.
It is markedly difficult to verify a release against the retail copy without a retail copy in hand so verification data is a bit lacking prior to release dates. The tool AGBX360 is used to verify isos, directories and games burned to disc and can fix isos and directories if necessary but requires this data (a basic check is still possible though).
Those who do not care about being banned from live or are willing to risk it then not much need to worry unless otherwise mentioned (as an example the first leaks of Halo 3 ODST were bad which meant while they would run a good chunk of gameplay was missing).

Until October releases and news are likely to be somewhat quiet (the lack of daily posts and the fact there is only one release in this post being evident of this sort of thing) but we are still recruiting people who want to post these threads up for when it gets busy again, if you think helping out is something you could do have a look at:

No nukes of recent games today and there has quite literally been one release since last post so no less notable releases today.

    ABGX360 ( <a href="http://abgx360.net/verified.php" target="_blank">http://abgx360.net/verified.php</a> ) added:
I suggest you use the link above and the abgx360 tool as the site does not split games by language/region as you might so the following list may look a bit odd.
Fable II -- Game of the Year Edition- Region free (the original release of this game missed a few rars but the group corrected it fairly quickly)
Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Disc NTSC/U (there is already a US NTSC copy but this appears to be a new but otherwise valid different version).

    <!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Releases</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

Again just one game today but it was a western developed region free RPG for the 360 so it gets a full post for it rather than waiting for something to bulk this post out with.

    PAL source- region free.

Risen is a medieval Mediterranean themed (big change huh) RPG with a branching storyline made by Piranha Bytes (previously known for the somewhat well liked Gothic series). Like many fun games the Australian censors saw fit to make sure it does not appear around those parts as well. Not much info is available about the actual gameplay just yet but there are a fair few screenshots and trailers around, <a href="http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/rpg/risen/index.html" target="_blank">http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/rpg/risen/index.html</a> has some.

Like FIFA10 the other day it quite literally just pre'd so expect a short wait while it filters down.

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

That is all for this post, I am not expecting a great deal of movement in 360 land for a few days ( <a href="http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/" target="_blank">http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/</a> - you all know by now that street dates mean little in these circles) other than few region dupes but these posts will be back as and when something happens.
