Nothing major has happened in the world of the 360 but there are a few releases that might raise a few eyebrows so here we are.
    <b>*update*</b>
Fifa 10 pre'd a few minutes after I pressed post so there is now that, thread below updated.

As ever the threads will be concerned mainly with games released with English language in them and possibly the odd Japanese release if it is of note (very rare on the 360) unless people request it changes. These threads should contain enough info to sort things out for yourself but if you want more
<a href="http://www.abgx.net/filename/?ch=6" target="_blank">http://www.abgx.net/filename/?ch=6</a> has release names and a great deal of info for those new to this 360 business and <a href="http://www.ludibria.com" target="_blank">http://www.ludibria.com</a> deserves some credit for the NFOs.

360 games can be region locked (the choice falls to the developers/publishers) and there is no real way to tell if one will be before it is dumped other than German area releases usually are.
Most people (namely those not rocking a homebrew enabled 360) will find region locking still exists on the 360 but there is no great worry unless you are sporting a Japanese 360 as game releases usually fall very close together region wise these days (usually within a week and still usually means before street dates).
There now exists some new homebrew methods (provided you have not done the August 11th 2009 update or any subsequent ones you should be able to get homebrew or get it in the near future your xbox model depending) and there is talk of a region lock workaround or more accurately updating the existing workarounds.
There are two main options being considered:
    1) Flashing a different region code- unless you have a dual nand chip (one region on each) this is a fairly long winded process but it does work.
    2) A "rebooter" app- nothing has yet been tried with this newest iteration of the homebrew exploit (a much older incomplete version exists) but the general idea is to (soft) reboot into a custom kernel/similar which handily ignores things like region checking.
At present these are far from end user level though with the only thing approaching those realms being the compiled version for the Xenon- the first iteration of the 360.
The curious among you may want to read up with <a href="http://www.free60.org/wiki/Main_Page" target="_blank">http://www.free60.org/wiki/Main_Page</a> , <a href="http://www.eurasia.nu/wiki/index.php?pagename=Free60JtagHack" target="_blank">http://www.eurasia.nu/wiki/index.php?pagename=Free60JtagHack</a> and <a href="http://www.xboxhacker.net" target="_blank">http://www.xboxhacker.net</a> being the places to do it. Any discussion on those sites will be of a highly technical nature and a similar level of knowledge/ability is expected of you if you decide to join in.

Street dates for the games in these threads will be mentioned if truly necessary although you can quite easily look it up and make your own decision- as far as we know playing games ahead of time does not affect things but these prerelease games can sometimes be bad dumps, dumps from non retail sources, bad packing of dumps and so on.
It is markedly difficult to verify a release against the retail copy without a retail copy in hand so verification data is a bit lacking prior to release dates. The tool AGBX360 is used to verify isos, directories and games burned to disc and can fix isos and directories if necessary but requires this data (a basic check is still possible though).
Those who do not care about being banned from live or are willing to risk it then not much need to worry unless otherwise mentioned (as an example the first leaks of Halo 3 ODST were bad which meant while they would run a good chunk of gameplay was missing).

Until October releases and news are likely to be somewhat quiet but we are still recruiting people who want to post these threads up for when it gets busy again, if you think helping out is something you could do have a look at:
    <a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=179009" target="_blank">http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=179009</a>

<!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Nukes and related news as well as less notable releases.</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->
Just the one nuke today, in the last post the first Italian Halo 3 ODST release from group DNL had a proper from the group ROME but had yet to be nuked. At some point after the post it got nuked with "pred.with.only.1.dvd.the.game.is.compound.of.2.dvd_get.RoME.proper".

    ABGX360 ( <a href="http://abgx360.net/verified.php" target="_blank">http://abgx360.net/verified.php</a> ) added:
I suggest you use the link above and the abgx360 tool as the site does not split games by language/region as you might so the following list may look a bit odd.
Guilty Gear 2 Overture [Unofficial DB Name] PAL
    Halo 3: ODST RF

    Less notable releases

    <b>Halo.3.ODST.PAL.SPANiSH.XBOX360-RABO</b> and <b>Halo_3_ODST_JPN_XBOX360-Caravan</b>
These are the Spanish and Japanese langauge Halo 3 ODST releases which should round out the Halo 3 ODST releases for now. My Spanish is awful but the Spanish release appeared to pre without the second disc (Halo 3 multiplayer + expansion packs) on the grounds that all of the other second discs were the same
    From the NFO ( <a href="http://www.ludibria.com/nfo.php?sys=x36&sysid=1837" target="_blank">http://www.ludibria.com/nfo.php?sys=x36&sysid=1837</a> ):
    DVD1 campanya
DVD2 es igual para todas las releases asi ke no se lanza. ****
With the exception of the Japanese and Chinese ODST releases (unknown at this time) all ODST releases are region free.

    <b>Forza.3.DEMO.XBOX360-Xdemo</b>
Demo of the upcoming Forza 3 game, DVD5 for whatever reason.

However some homebrew news in the form of an early stage video player "Ced2911 Video Player Alpha" and a port of the megadrive/genesis emulator "Genesis plus", more on <a href="http://www.xbins.org/" target="_blank">http://www.xbins.org/</a>

    <!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Releases</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

Now for the main reason for the posts and while there has been nothing special since last time there is enough to warrant a post. As usual releases in order of most recent to pre:

    <b>XBOX360 Release: FiFA 10 (PAL) [GLoBAL]</b>
    PAL source region locked PAL.
1st of October is street date.

The last time my eye was cast upon a football game I had flashbacks of sensible soccer shortly before the football induced narcoleptic tendencies kicked in, people tell me they have changed but I am not inclined to believe them. As seems to be the norm for these sports games there are two competing franchises; the competitor to this series is the Pro Evolution Soccer series of which a demo was released the other day and the full game is due in about a month.
On the other hand it is here and so it is being reported upon.
It pre'd about 10 minutes after this was initially posted so expect a short wait while it is "leaked" into "p2p" circles (it is being upped onto usenet right now).

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

    <b>NHL.2K10.PAL.MULTi3.XBOX360-WARG</b>
PAL source unknown region locking (first release was region free).

The PAL release of NHL 2K10 (an ice hockey game series with the main rival being the NHL games from EA) and multi3, according to the NFO the other two languages are .se and .fi (Swedish and Finnish?). As mentioned the NTSC sourced version was region free so no harm is grabbing that instead if it makes sense to do so.
    Warning: Spoilers inside!

    <b>Rock_Band_Metal_Track_Pack_USA_READNFO_XBOX360-XorCist</b>
US NTSC source, region locked US only.
XorCist are back after a bit of a hiatus from 360 releases with a massive NFO and a rock band track pack. There have been other track pack releases but some more tracks for Rock Band (1 and 2) which apparently belong to the metal genre (some were previously available as downloads although there are some exclusives). List of tracks in the NFO spoiler, a quick scan says dangerously close to filler tracks from some top flight bands but I will leave the debating of such things to you guys.

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

    <b>Stoked.PAL.XBOX360-SWAG</b>
PAL source- region locked PAL (US version (region locked US) was released back in February but nuked for invalid rar sizes but that does not matter much).

A snowboarding game (one of three on the 360) and has some more than respectable reviews (not all that much competition though- Amped 3 is about two months shy of being 4 years old with Shaun White Snowboarding is the only other 360 Snowboarding game). While I doubt it will knock the Skate series or the extreme sports games off the top game pedestal you could do worse.
    Warning: Spoilers inside!

That is all for this post, there were a few games with release dates today and with October just around the corner there is sure to be the odd pre release so I will be back as an when something happens.

Fifa just pre'd as XBOX360 Release: FiFA 10 (PAL) [GLoBAL]
No NFO just yet but I will sort it out as soon as it comes.

    Main post edited shortly.

    edit:
    PAL only, NFO here:

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

Needless to say it will probably take a little while to trickle down into the "p2p" arena.
