2048 3D
2048 was a big hit not so long ago, and I still see many people at my school playing it. So I thought it would be pretty cool to be able to play 2048 on the go on the 3DS.
It's currently in beta, and there is no 3D yet, but I am working on making this a good version/port of the game! (You could also pay a eShop game which is also a port of 2048 it looks prettier but costs money is not homebrew and you'll need to update your 3DS if you want it and haven't bought it before NINJHAX got patched!)

For those who do not know what 2048 is a short description:
Gabriele Cirulli made the original, which was based on a game called 1024. It was originally a small puzzle game you could play in the browser. You use the arrow keys to move the tiles with numbers, if they collide and have the same value they merge into a double of the first value. Every tile is a power of 2. After it started spreading many ports were made to mobile phones, and many other devices. This one is no different really, the main thing missing are the nice animations. But I'm uncertain if I'll be able to recreate those!

Controls:
Arrow keys - move all tiles in the direction of the arrow key (also works with circle pad and c-stick)
X - restart game
start - exit back to launcher (probably hb_meu)

good homebrew and all, but you may wanna correct that "now you can play it on your 3ds"-statement, since this game is allready available at the eshop :3

Nice work still

I tried it and it runs great and looks beautiful. I had to make my own .smdh file though, which some people might not wanna do, so I would recommend including it in a zip with the .3dsx file.

I will probably do that when the game is not in beta anymore. Before that I want everyone to have the latest stable build. As you can see it grabs it of my github repo, and I'm to lazy to write a script and run it on a server to pack the latest 3dsx and smdh file. Obviously the "final" and all "full" builds will get a zip with 3dsx and smdh

Just tried this and it's great! Weirdly I saw a 265 tile but then was able to get a 256 tile as well. I'll try to repeat it to make sure.

Yup. Just confirmed that there are still 265 tiles. Also I found bugs:

-two 64 tiles combine to make a 256 tile o.o (128?)
-two "256 tiles" (really 128) become a 265 tile

I have pics if needed
