As of right now, in Central Ohio where I'm at, it's thundering, lightning, and pouring down rain! North Carlolina got smashed by Tornados, snow still exists in the Michigan and Wisconsin area I think, and every, but 2, counties in Texas are currently effected by Wildfires. ...Seriously...?

This was taken directly from the Weather Channel site, so it might be updated within the next 24 hours.

I'm pretty sure those in Canada, especially right across Lake Erie are aware of this too. Are any of you way out there in Europe or where ever having or have had horrible weather at all in 2011?

    I'm just curious. [IMG]

It's calming down right now, but looking at that big red blotch, it's definitely not over yet.

It's been snowing lightly here occasionally, but that's not all that unusual.

It has been kind of crazy though, it's gotten up to 80°F or so one day, the next is freezing rain. Minnesota usually has pretty crazy weather, though.

Texas has one season... Summer. Or at least this part of it. Taking a walk outside feels like I'm being cooked like chicken. It's hot, humid and the chemicals from the refineries only makes things worse for us. Winter was hot in this area and when it did finally get cold, it was only cold for two weeks. Spring has also been hot with a two day coldfront here and there, so I never really complain when it's cold here. However... We currently need 14 inches of rain before our marine animals start to suffer [IMG]
And I don't think it'll be raining any time soon, but hurricane season is real soon :/

    Anywhere you think of me.
There have been speculations that natural disasters increase each year but the thing is that in the past years we were not as prepared as we are now to record and report such events. Therefore giving the idea that there is an increase in natural disasters. Well that's what i read somewhere, i believe that to a point but there's no denying that earth's attributes towards natural disasters increase each year. Things will only get worse in up-coming years. Where i live in the Caribbean tornado's is something that has no record of ever happening up until late last year where we had a very weak but noticeable tornado.

The weather is rather weird in the Bay Area of California. First we get showering rain for a week, and the next week we get scorching weather. The weather this year is always differing when it should be staying the same.

You also don't live in the US, which the topic title asked.

But yeah, the weather has been very abnormal so far this year.

I would much rather have severe weather than this cold, rainy weather.

I'm so sick of people complaining about this day after day. Seriously, it's all I hear at work.

When it's cold, people wish it was warm. When it's hot people wish it was cold. When it's a nice breezy day, people wish the wind would stop.

People will never be happy, they just need to realize that no matter how much they complain, it won't change the weather.

"I know it's sad that I never gave a damn about the weather. And it never gave a damn about me."

No, 45 minutes away from it. I'm close to the gulf coast as well, so the heat is pretty bad since it's like a greeting to hurricanes.
