2004's Star Wars Battlefront gets online multiplayer feature added to the Steam version

Star Wars Battlefront now has online multiplayer. That statement might seem obvious to those familiar with EA's Star Wars: Battlefront series, but in this case, we mean the original Battlefront, from 2004. The game, which initially launched with online servers through the GameSpy service, has not had network features since the service shut down in 2014. An update went out today for owners of the game on Steam, which showed the addition of a few language options, as well as online multiplayer support through Steam.

Totally liked this old classic, was very familiar to battlefield of back then while the new battlefronts are totally different.

But I cant say I care for its multiplayer nowadays...
Hey they are both on sale on steam atm just bought battlefield 2 for $3.50... Time to mod the heck out of it
Is BF2 multiplayer working on steam?

I have it on origin but don't install it for many years, only have the Forgotten Hope 2 stand-alone mode installed but don't play it either, but was the best BF2 mod ever...
