I'd hold out until some original content is on the Shop Channel, or until they make the add online multiplayer...

But if you can't do that...Gunstar Heroes is pretty good. And any N64 title on there is great, unless you care about ghosts in Mario Kart.

I doubt there will be original content soon, well not from indie developers at least, as their website still offers devkits for "established game companies".

I'm considering getting Ocarina of Time... I remember that game being really fun, but I played it 4 years ago, and I forget things over time, so...

Well, if I had 2000 points and no games with these current choices, I'd go for Super Mario 64 (hands down) and either Elevator Action+Super Mario Bros or Star Fox 64.

Check out some PC Engine titles, theres a lot of great games that most people haven't played.

Have a look at Vc Reviews, its a site and has reviews for all VC titles and also sometimes tells you if theres anything wrong with the titles.

Oh and a question about VC itself... is there real time save?
From the games I've played (Super Mario Bros., Sonic The Hedgehog, Turtles) there is. However, it only "real-time-saves-it" when you're in the middle of the game and request to go back to the Wii's Main Menu. It RT saves it at that point, and when you start up the VC game again, you begin the game from the RT save point from earlier, and that RT save point is discarded.

The VC games I have not regretted getting:
Bonk's Adventure - Awesome Jump 'n' Run game!
Ristar - Interesting as a brother of Sonic.
Comix Zone - Swinging from panel to panel in this brawler is great fun.

- Sim city, this is probaly my fav Sim city, the music is awesome. the save state helps so that your cities can avoid the Crime bug, (takes about 20mins for the police stations to become active once you load a saved city).
-The first Zelda is worth a look if you've never played it before.
-Mario Bros is a great little co-op game, simple but really playable.

I thought that MarioKart64 was a bit of a dissapointment really it's quite buggy still, I've had to hard reset my system a couple of times due to MK64 crashing on single player, the problem was fixed by deleting the save, but still pretty annoying, hopefully they wll get round to fixing it up.

So...

Mario Kart
Gunstar Heroes
Super Mario Bros
Super Mario World

The rest mentioned I have beaten or played or didn't like.

I'll probably be getting more Wii points in the future.
