Hacking 2 PSTVs and a 2000vita question

Hello I have a pstv on fw v3.20
a pstv on fw v3.52
and a psvita on fw v3.55

I want to update either my pstv or my vita to the most recent firmware to play online with my friends, what do you think I should update? My vita or my pstv?

Also is there any way to prevent the live screen from refreshing and keeping the whitelist hack even after turnong off my pstv? Thanks in advance!

Your Vita since everything you can do with a hacked PS Vita you can do on PS TV? (correct me if I'm wrong). The only downside is PS TV native homebrew can't use touch input.
