I recently set up a emuNAND on my 3DS and I (purposely) didn't link my NNID to my emuNAND.

I was wondering if it's possible to create a 'throwaway' NNID for my emuNAND whilst still having my original NNID on my sysNAND.

I want to use my throwaway NNID to install updates, play online, etc.

Thanks!

Things may have changed, but when I've tried this before a few months ago, it would not let me create a new NNID in my emunand while i had a NNID on my sysnand.

I don't think this is possible. When you use a NNID it get's linked to your system on Nintendo's server or something like that. Only one NNID can be linked at a time on any 3ds. If you try to link another one on emunand/sysnand it will know that 3ds haves an already linked NNID and it will not let you giving you an error at the linking process.
