today i was checking a stock of nintendo slot 1 cards.
i tested them random because i got all system kernel on two micro tf card.
    after testing halfhour
my first nintendo pink die. don't know reason, i think maybe it happens, i am unlucky.
later i go to my friend and borrow another nintendo ds black.
i continue my tests , supercards ok , acekard ok, edge ok, oh here come again m3 real,
put a card inside, later try to power on with another m3 real card inside. but second dsl dead too!
now it's too much! 2 withint 4 hours dead. and i used one m3 real for some month too and never happened.

defect: don't power on, even with ac adapter, red light sometime with ac adapter blink once.
after google 2 hours finally i found this site

    http://www.m3wiki.com/index.php/Nintendo_D...le_(blown_fuse)

now i ask. If i connect directly the 2 terminal of fuse, it will works? So what is the mean of that fuse? nothing?
hope someone can answer me before i decide to open it or go to warranty but it will take weeks.

and the probabilty of blowing the fuse with m3 real is 100% or what ??????

    thanks

Bridging a fuse brings about the risk of blowing other components in the future. The whole point of a fuse is to be a sort of cheap breaker. I would say warranty it.

More like .0000000001%, I don't think I've ever heard anyone ever having this happen with or without a flashcard.

I've heard of a few guys that've bricked DS's exactly like you're describing

yes, you can just bridge the 2 points and it'll work again

but no guarantee how long it'll last

You haven't heard very many cases, then. This is actually a relatively common occurence with Slot-2s, and happens with slot-1s on occasion too.

Man get that m3 real and smash the crap out of it with a sledge hammer. Mend the fuses, use the other carts.

The same happened to me when I was testing an M3 miniSD some months ago. It blew my GBA's fuses up.

Now I'm going to check for the fuses, maybe I can get it to work again [IMG]
