360 releases post time again, after a long stretch with few releases (see the big gaps between posts- it was not all me being lazy) yesterday and the day before saw a bunch of releases. Thug4L1f3 was on hand to post up the releases though so the big releases did not pass unnoticed.

    Idea behind these threads

<!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Nukes and related news as well as less notable releases.</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

No new nukes since last time (ABGX lists 245).

    <u><b>Less notable releases</b></u>
Quite a few since last post, again mainly Japanese region dupes of games from last year. <b>Espgaluda_II_Black_Label_JAP_XBOX360-KFC</b> makes the main post.
    Less notable releases

    <u><b>XBLA games and DLC content</b></u>

FYK were joined by XBLAplus and RB-DLC to continue the flood of XBLA and DLC content, naturally you need a homebrew capable 360 to run all this.
Due to the flood NFOs will not be linked up <a href="http://www.ludibria.com/index.php?sys=x36" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.ludibria.com/index.php?sys=x36" target="_blank">http://www.ludibria.com/index.php?sys=x36</a></a> (better yet <a href="http://www.ludibria.com/index.php?sys=x36&ord=1" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.ludibria.com/index.php?sys=x36&ord=1" target="_blank">http://www.ludibria.com/index.php?sys=x36&ord=1</a></a> ) has them all though if you fancy searching.

    XBLA releases

Mainly the usual Guitar Hero and Rock Band DLC but in there is some mass effect 2 stuff and some tomb raider.

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

After the massive amount of stuff that was reported on in the last post things seem to have settled down a bit.
    Homebrew news

    <u><b>Game updates</b></u>
With the live bans it seems a big need for game updates "offline" appeared and many sites/groups rose to the challenge. This means we have a new section in the 360 releases posts for them. Demos are not really going to be covered.

General info on (offline) game updates
The domain (and various other alternates) still seem to have been suspended so no updates today (I have no IP to hand to try that instead), <a href="http://www.elitemodscene.com/" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.elitemodscene.com/" target="_blank">http://www.elitemodscene.com/</a></a> should have a few updates available to you if you search for them.
    <a href="http://xboxupdates.24.tl/" target="_blank"><a href="http://xboxupdates.24.tl/" target="_blank">http://xboxupdates.24.tl/</a></a> added (TU=title update):
    old game updates list

    <b>Additions to ABGX360</b><u></u>
We suggest you use the link below and the abgx360 tool as the site does not use scene naming meaning it can be quite hard to tell entries apart, this is just for reference really (RF= region free)
    ABGX360 ( <a href="http://abgx360.net/verified.php" target="_blank">Web frontend to verified database</a> ) added:
    ABGX360 added

    <hr><b><!--sizeo:1--><span style="font-size:8pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo-->Posts merged<!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec--></b>

Release dates can be found here: <a href="http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/" target="_blank">http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/</a></a> although the dates on gamefaqs seem to be slightly "off" and as usual are subject to change at the last moment.

Thug4L1f3 did a good job of posting 360 releases again so this is probably a catchup for most people.

As an aside if possible the NFOs are being sent as unicode/some encoding that will not lose the format if possible which means we may not lose the ASCII art any more (I am far too lazy to make up picture NFOs not to mention I like text), for old ones perhaps <a href="http://shailendra88.blogspot.com/2009/02/how-to-view-nfo-files-in-firefox.html" target="_blank"><a href="http://shailendra88.blogspot.com/2009/02/h...in-firefox.html" target="_blank">http://shailendra88.blogspot.com/2009/02/h...in-firefox.html</a></a> is of some use.

For the new members the general layout of each game here is
    Scene release name (in bold)
Region locking information (rebooter apps can dodge region protection but they are far from available to all so such things are staying)
In previous posts wave information (if known) which is not necessary now everything can run every known game and as such will not be appearing any more.
A short writeup of the game (who made developed/published it, past history of the franchise, if I or one of mine has played it then a quick review). We invite others to comment on games and they frequently do so read their replies as there are many games/genres/franchises and so on I do not care for.
    NFO in spoilers and codebox.

    Unknown region locking.

According to the NFO this is the Gold Edition of resident evil 5 and contains the bonus DLC content. However everything I heard said that only applies to the PS3 and the 360 comes with a voucher so this will probably be nuked if that turns out to be true (MOONWALKER had a similar problem in September last year with Gears of War 2) and if not everyone is happy. Obviously we will keep you updated on that but for those not wanting to kill a disc I would suggest waiting to see how this works.

    Posted yesterday by Thug4L1f3 here <a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=214823" target="_blank"><a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=214823" target="_blank">http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=214823</a></a>

The game itself is a sandbox game with a twist towards the cheesy action film side of things.

You may have seen the Japanese release (End_of_Eternity_JAP_XBOX360-KFC) about two months back. Anyhow this is the latest from tri ace who are best known for the long running Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile games. Combat is similar to the higher levels of Eternal Sonata and MagnaCarta II (not your typical final fantasy game).

Set in a parallel story arc to the first series (I will leave it to others to debate which is the best) it explores some of the background to the first series in an action game format. Adult oriented TV series probably have an even worse time of things than film games (looking mainly at 24 and the shield- as a quick aside this parallel format worked wonders in the second series episode of the shield "copilot").

Region free (previous release was region locked PAL only)

It was released in a PAL only format a few days back but here is DNL with the region free copy. Having played the game it is interesting- somewhat of a cross between STALKER, thief and half life 2 with a dash of Far Cry 2 and an absolutely stunning first game (even if most of the people who made it had previously worked on STALKER) from a company.

    Region free

A disc based expansion pack for Dragon Age Origins. Not sure if it was previously in DLC form or not so I am afraid I will have to defer to others on this one.

Unknown region locking (US and PAL are good according to ABGX)

Stolen from my own thread on the game <a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=213950" target="_blank"><a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=213950" target="_blank">http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=213950</a></a>

MARVEL kick off their 2010 360 releases with a 360 port of the RTS game Supreme Commander 2, made by Gas Powered Games who make the * Siege series (dungeon and space) with publishing duties taken by Square Enix. Having never played the first and rarely being impressed by RTS games on consoles (there might at least be space to debate on the FPS front as to what is the best control method but I doubt you can find anyone willing to debate that a controller beats a mouse and keyboard for a RTS).

Some boxart I stole from Amazon

    <!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Useful things to know</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

This section aims to serve as quick intro to things that are often assumed elsewhere in these threads, it is never going to be a definitive guide so do not consider it as such.

First the current WIP GBAtemp 360 FAQ (not the same one that is stickied), it should cover most questions you might have on the 360 although it too is looking a bit out of date right now:
    <a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=157263" target="_blank"><a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=157263" target="_blank">http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=157263</a></a>
For drive hacking related questions the jungleflasher tutorial is probably the most up to date guide:
    <a href="http://jungleflasher.net/downloads.html" target="_blank"><a href="http://jungleflasher.net/downloads.html" target="_blank">http://jungleflasher.net/downloads.html</a></a>

    <a href="http://pix.gbatemp.net/32303/XBOX360.Release.Standards.2007.v1.340.png" target="_blank"><img src="http://pix.gbatemp.net/32303/XBOX360.Release.Standards.2007.v1.340.png.tn.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
Click on the image and it will load up the full picture.
Some sections of the scene also use the general console release standards as well as the 360 ones. Realistically it is only the problems with the isos that you need to be worried about and even then some can be fixed (simple things like no/bad .dvd file) but we will leave it up to you to determine what you consider acceptable.

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

Update, Resident.Evil.5.Gold.Edition.PAL.READ.NFO.XBOX360-VATOS was nuked for the reasons I predicted (the addon content was only available by an in box coupon).

    Official reason:
NUKED: dupe.KFC.2009-03-03_extras.only.available.on.xboxlive.via.included.coupon or content.not.availble.in.disc.just.the.code.to.download.them_dupe.KFC.2009-03-03 depending on where you read.

Resonance_Of_Fate_USA_RF_XBOX360-PROTOCOL was nuked for something but has now been unnuked (all was always fine).
