Too bad that it's made by SanDisk, after all the bad experiences I've had with their products I wouldn't want it even if it was for free.

I guess I'm the happy one, with the two SanDisk cards (1 GB and 4 GB SDHC), never had any problems, braking, corruption, anything...I'm very satisfied with their stuff (even card reader)..

SO if they ever come here in Croatia, at reasonable price....I'll get it, why not..

I've had, many brands of cards over the years, these days mostly Kingston (price i guess

)

I've been really lucky to have never had an issue, even with some i can't even identify the maker...

Those were my 1st 2 SD cards, they still work to this day, i have no clue who made the one on the left

I've mostly had problems with their memory cards failing and wiping everything on it. That isn't a thing that you would want to happen when you have 400+ photos on your memory card and then realizing that they're all gone due to SanDisk's crappy quality of memory cards. To make things worse, none of the things that were stored on them was recoverable.

Ouch! Luckally, bigger cards have been coming out fast enough that we have never had a card older then like 8 months in our camera, I take the laptop on vacations and such to keep backups... couldnt bear losing photos... save games... no big deal.

Didn't notice that earlier, but I see it now. It's definitely edited and by going to SanDisk's website I realize that you're absolutely right.

hmm..... I have seen usb flash drives sold with fake capacities before, they register as 16 gb when you plug them in but try to put more than a gig on them and they corrupt; would not surprise me if the same could be done with mem cards. not to mention that I live in the UK and have never heard of those companies before.

but, seriously, who has that many roms anyway....

microSDs/microSDHCs can be used for other things than flashcarts...

Like what? every other device such as cameras, MP3 players and PDAs that have external memory I have seen use normal SD cards

edit: well, I just remembered that my camera uses sony memory sticks, but that is the exception. and even at 7mp it can store like 300 pics on 2gb

SanDisk originally not bad, especially the UltraII version I used it pretty well.. ( All made in Taiwan ) ...fast and stable..

but the recent one that are Made in China, already have fail me 4 times, I am really piss for what SanDisk is doing just to lower down the price tag, MIC item are all crappy as everyone know about..

SanDisk doesn't seem to be care as long as people buy stuff from them.....

I have 687 English .nds files in a folder on my PC - that is almost 30GB.
Plus about 600GB of music and lots of DPGs.
But I think 4GB is enough for now.
Scrolling thru 70-80 games is a pain, especially with DSTT and other slow scrollers.
DPG videos are great, but movies suck, except for porn - which is supposed to suck.
On the other hand, as soon as I can buy 8-32GB cards for a $1/GB, I want a six-pack!

Satisfied SanDisk user here. I got a SanDisk 2GB M2 for my phone, and the 6GB Class 4 MicroSDHC for the DS. Didn't experience any lag in the first Castlevania game.

People are using microSD cards for many purposes...
But if we just focus on NDS, just because you're satisfied with 2 GB, and cant fill it up, doesn't mean that's the case with everybody else..I'm using multimedia very often and very much with my NDS.....I like watching movies and listen to music..

Your questions is just like you asked What the hell are you going to do with 16 GB (or even 32 GB) iPod/iTouch?!

When prices drop on cards, I don't see why not get 16 GB if you can afford it.....

And besides, this is bloody fake.....The picture is photoshopped..

My only complaint with Sandisk is the exorbitant price they charge compared to everyone else. I'll wait for one of the other brands to release 16GB cards before I buy one.....it will be cheaper that way.

I've yet to fill my 8gig (Transcend Class 4) as it is.
