These games (AKA ADV or Adventure games in Japan) are stereotyped as H-Games but there's quite a lot that aren't and that includes this. Especially on the GBA. They're actually fun if you know Japanese. It's like reading a book
smile.gif
Famous examples for the GBA would probably be the Gyakuten Saiban series and maybe the first Zero One game.

I thought the first was great. The reaction timers just made it that bit more exciting and the mini games gave it more variation in gameplay.

This game has no "H" material in it but it does have some romance just like the first. There are no official H games for the GBA apart from fan made conversions so no worries here.

Youkai already gave the site so no links from me this time

It's a pity that we Americans (and I suppose Europeans as well) almost never get the chance to enjoy "sound novels", since there's so little play value to them and they would take forever to translate.....they aren't all gold, but we miss a few really great titles.

*points at Otogirisou for the SFC*

Now there's a game I'd love to play in fluent English.....a mansion-based horror story about the secrets of your fiance's past. Absolutely beautiful music, especially the main theme (and the music was probably the only good part of the pseudo-sequel Otogirisou Souseihen or whatever, which was your standard shlock FMV adventre).

Hmm, I visit the game's website, and I see uh, IS THAT MAGAMAN!

No wait o-o;
Dang, looks very megaman ish, wel realistic megaman ish, more like a good looking fan made megaman suit for anime conventions o-o.

Oh and that pic chocobo2 just posted, it looks alot like a scene from the Golden Boy anime. Well almost. It sure reminds me of it lol.

Anyway, this looks like a nice game, wish games like this were in english. But nooooo, no bosy wants to take the risk in selling it over here o-o. Too bad there isnt a company that translated games on demand and sold translated and legal copys o-o. That would be very nice o-o.

Uhhhh, Without England your damned country wouldn't have OUR language. That's the thing I hate about Americans, They take things for granted, Europeons Have Just as much, if not more rights for things than you Americans.

Yes. I hate to say it but that's the bottom line. Not that many people are interested in ADV games anyway even if this was in English.

And I know how long it takes to download this with a 56K

QUOTE(Washudoll @ Jul 28 2004, 02:02 AM)That guy looks like megaman from the exe series without helmet and he hasn't eatin for weeks though.
That was in the first game too. I wonder if the artist got inspired by Rockman or something.

i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term

AI assisted game creation might become a thing

At least that's something I think would be pretty cool.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Many TBs of assets and the programming of something like that is going to be tough but I think it's something we might see in 20 years maybe sooner
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and using LLMs to generate NPC dialogue and even dynamically generated quests is something i'm sure is already happening
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
will just take some time for games made using those things to be completed and released
