My EZFA says "Save Failed" [IMG]

I checked the saving for the other games on my cart, and they're fine. I also have lots of RAM left.

Nope. I have trouble saving in other languages as well. On the emulator, it's fine for everything, though. [IMG]

Is this as bad as the DKC 1 port? (No night time/rain, plus it was made way too bright and the sprites were resized to shit)

I think it's nice that they added a storyline IN the game for the GBA versions.... who cares about the graphics [IMG]

Now the music... that's another thing... it sucks, compared to the snes ones of course.

I've been looking forward to this port. It looked good in the vids i saw awhile ago and hopefully it plays good too, it did on the SNES.

I care about the graphics, when they fuck up the stunning visuals of the SNES versions. I just hope this one isn't as washed out as the first DKC on GBA. Always loved playing these games [IMG]
Didn't like 3 as much as the first 2 though.

...Heh I think you guys are being a little harsh on the graphics side of things... obviously they're going to look worse if they need to be scaled down a bit to fit on the GBAs screen.
...The problem is that gamers just can't be happy either way... for example look at Super Mario Bros DX, to keep things looking like the NES original Nintendo kept all the sprites the exact same sizes...people complained that you couldn't see too much of the surrounding area.
    Gamers are so stupid...

Also for the idiots that fail to realise why they can't save...read the fucking save type! EEPROM_V124 needs to be patched for a lot of flash carts, how many more times will I need to say that? I swear there's probably not a single release out there using EEPROM_V124 that hasn't had the same stupid question asked in it...

Anyway back onto the game in question, please note that Rare developed the GBA ports of DKC 1 and 2, not Nintendo. Nintendo only published the games.
Also for those who still don't know...Rare are UK based, hence why we often see European versions of their games first.

BTW it's nice to see that all these "hardcore" DKC gamers can point out that the game has been ruined because Rare changed the graphics and music...but then fail to notice the finer changes in the game such as boss attack patterns etc... heh. Dunno what DKC 2 is like mind... just about to try it out.

*Sigh* anyway I'm gonna try and enjoy this release... there hasn't been a decent platformer in a while (unless you count Astrix and Obelix XXL which IMO single handedly managed to reach a new low in basic 3D platformers...).

p.s. Jojjy Ugnick I don't know what you were on but if you had actually played up to the second level in DKC on the GBA you would notice that Rare did indeed implement rain effects into the game...

that's also available from our tools section seeing as it's the "gbatemp epprom v124 patcher"
also it's weird that people are having problems with the ezfa cus it can handle epprom v124 without patching

edit : i have just read on the ezfa forum that u need the latest version of the ezfa flash client (version 1.03) for the latest epprom v124 games to work so try that [IMG]

Maybe what GBATemp needs is a FAQ page about ROMs on the side. It'll probably be a better place to link to the rules too.

Anyway, was that flag animation really necessary at the start? I liked the DKC games back on the SNES but I only got through the first game since I didn't have a console or a PC back then. I liked the way the teams worked in the game and how you could switch players. Best of all was probably riding the animals [IMG]

Changed the music? where? cos i am hearing the same tunes as the snes original! Only a little moddified but that's not strange cos the gba uses different music hardware. I like that game so far and think the grfx are nice 2.
