You fail at understanding the topic. The 14,516 missing members do not have active accounts, that's why they're missing. You can't log in as those members no matter how many people you kill.

We did some member pruning a few years ago. Accounts stuck on validating or people with no posts were deleted I believe.

getting rid of the people that haven't posted is an easy pruning thing. i can't remember whether it's built into the board or is an ipb add on and you set the parameters and it does it all for you.
