Hacking 11.0.1 firmware and still no SXOS update

Yeah I know what you mean this has been going on since 2018 where sxos threads get hijacked with atmo discussions and opinions but at the same time sxos uses atmo's source code so its pretty much fair game. Overtime I got used it and stopped engaging in debates b/c I learned that ppl who use atmo will never care to understand the reason of having sxos in the 1st place. So it just turns into a battle of persuasion toward ppl who can't think for themselves or do any research. Having both cfw covers ground for me I can still launch games from external HDD on my sxos switch and if new games require the latest firmware I have an atmosphere switch for that. But I cant speak for everyone else to have the same experience of both worlds.

Actually goes way back to the Gateway Days. These guys preach that they are nonconformist in their private lives and are so alt. But around here they are the Gestapo. If they see you doing anything with your system that they don't like they'll jump down your throat until they make you change it or get rid of the thread entirely. That's what's going to happen now. Supporting 11.0.1 is far from useless to TX. That's evidenced by those flocking from SX OS to Atmosphere. That's not exactly in TX's best interest, is it?

Just restore your backup and make your EmuNAND from it. . Make the emunand on a separate SD if you can. You cannot use any NSP files or xci files online. That is piracy. Don't try to weasel your way around it. You're clean then we'll have none of this. Only legit cartridges and eShop stuff. That's it.

Dragon injector is a payload injector that fits in your cartridge slot. They are not being made anymore. Good luck finding one. Fake news is something that can be installed on 4.1. Basically you'll have a new entry when you start up the switch that if you click it and follow the instructions it will boot into whatever payload you set up. I set up argon NX which is a menu to select other payloads. Without autorcm it works like this, turn on switch, click the fake news Banner, follow the instructions on screen I think it's something like press this and then press power. Then my argon NX menu comes up with all of my CFW choices. I choose between SX OS, atmosphere, Linux, Android and Lakka. I also have a separate SD card for clean only. Also with fake news on it that i use to boot in to my clean EmuNAND setup.

Yeah I have a separate SD card, but it does seem I have to start from scratch if I want to be legit and for what, no nsp's etc. I might well just buy another switch. Is there an advantage over just buying a second switch for online? can't cheat, can't run NSP's.. seems to much hassle for no real gain. I dont really want to play online that bad but at least I understand it all now.

SO fake news is the same as hikata right? Or is it more then that? I know hikate can choose between different payload but can it also choose between sysnand and emunand.

That doesn’t make any sense. By not updating they are losing the users who did update their systems or plan on updating their systems. Just because you didn’t update, doesn’t mean no one else has. Considering there are threads made from users who have updated it shows they are losing a market for those users. Skipping a minor OFW update that doesn’t break compatibility isn’t a big deal. But skipping an OFW update does break your compatibility is a really concerning move on their end. This is made even more concerning by the lack of information coming from the team. There’s no official tweet or post on their website saying that user shouldn’t update, the status on their current progress, or much information to go off of. The most we know about the current team is that members were arrested and the current status on the team is unknown. These are either extremely bold marketing strategies or people should consider being concerned about future updates.

Losing current users doesn't cost the money it's not a subscription service what don't you understand? They already have the money. Supporting it in the future will get them more users in the future. Besides idiots know they don't need to update to 11.0.1 when they're not going online with it anyway and there's no games that require it. Why the hell would they update SX OS at this point? Once again it's stupid. And they already skipped firmwares in the past. Once again this is not a new pattern. Even before the arrests. And even if they don't update it still plays every game out there up to this point. Still one hundred percent useful. And still the only way device to play something directly off of USB So the goal for SX OS users who want to use the USB devices is to make this coexist with atmosphere not to get rid of it. That's what you don't understand. But I don't know expect you to understand. You're a demon and demons are shit.

With all the switch pro rumors going around I hold on buying another switch for that. You should be fine for online play aslong you didn't use cheats on save files to multiplayer games
