Hacking "10.6 Ninjhax and OoT3DHax only"? What about Smashax?

I own a N3DS XL and i was wondering if Smashax is still alive, since every post only mention about Ninjhax and OoT3DHax regard to the 10.6 remaining entrypoints, but some confirm Smashax still works, how is that?

Is it possible to do without losing the save data? My friend has a copy i could borrow but he won´t be happy if he loses his savedata. None of our consoles have Homebrew launcher or CFW btw

you would need to have homebrew to backup savedatas, and even if you would get into smashax, you would have no menuhax to install and would end up doing a gorgeus process over and over again.

People don't mention it because you have to either run it on Linux, or have some serious Mac skills. And lots of people don't have either.
