Homebrew 10.1 3ds, and received the Badge Arcade through spotpass

Is this weird or am I not the only one

someone else told me they somehow got Nintendo Badge Arcade on their home screen and they haven't deliberately gone and download it themselves.

I'm guessing once we regain Eshop access (low chance though) we can have custom badges on 10.1 and below ?

I got it after I left my 3ds in sleep with wifi on 10.1. but I cuoldn't use it w/o updating, so I updated LOL

anyway I think that its one of the ways nintendo pushes you to update your 3ds

You can receive software via Spotpass, of course it can be disabled. Check System Settings --> Internet Settings --> SpotPass --> Automatic Software Downloads.
