I've used windows 10, and think it's okay, but I'm sticking to windows 7 for a while, just because I'm used to the way windows 7 feels. Maybe when windows 7 stops getting supported for games and stuff i'll move to 10.
Step 1: Make a system image of your current system
Step 2: Make a bootable USB stick
Step 3: Update to Windows 10 through GWX
Step 4: Link my Windows account for reinstallation purposes later on
Step 5: Restore system image from step 1
Now I can wait until Microsoft makes some better fixes/tweaks and still retain my free copy!
Err, I forgot to mention steps 6 and 7. Step 6 is to remove GWX by uninstalled update KB3035583. Restart. Step 7 is to go into Windows Update, select both KB3035583 and the Upgrade to Windows 10, right-mouse click and select Hide. No more being nagged, no more tricking you in updates.

you can upgrade now, downgrade later and still keep your windows 10 serial key, but you can also choose windows 7.
if you wait until later, you have to pay for it, unless you upgraded earlier, so you can use the serial key you got

Refreshing to see no "Thank god" posts, I understand pushing out the updates as they have is horrible, but I love windows 10, so much sleeker than 7... and 8... and vista.
Get your windows 7 serial key using a tool that is easily searchable on the Internet, then upgrade to windows 10, then get your windows 10 serial key using a tool that is easily searchable on the Internet.
You now have your Windows 7 and Windows 10 key and you can install windows 7 using its serial key and dual boot between them.
I have GWX control panel installed on both my Windows 7 machines for the exact purpose of preventing the privacy invading crapware that is Windows 10 from ever polluting them.
It'd be great if anyone had proof that Windows 10 intrudes on your privacy while 7 doesn't. It's good to know that you people believe everything from anyone wearing the foil hat.
