Hello everyone,

I had the 1-bit issue a year ago, because there was a missing PIN on the motherboard. I managed to fix it by soldering a wire from the motherboard to the SD card reader, as showcased in Sthetix' video (
). Everything went back to normal, I could use my Switch like nothing had happened. But a few days ago, the error came back, and after checking out on the motherboard, it seems like the wire had been unsoldered... And grabbed the connector with it. So it means I can't even solder back the wire from the motherboard to the SD card, since the connector is gone. Here's a screenshot of it :

I think I'm actually fucked, but I know it doesn't hurt to try... So, do you guys think I could find an alternative to fix this issue, aside from buying a new console ? I know you can replace the eMMC to a larger storage, but I'd like to stick with my SD card. Makes everything easier for sysNAND;

Thanks in advance :)

Just replace the actual pin connector?

I literally just had this done this week. A pin got ripped out in mine too
There is no alternative pin, if you messed up the pin on the side you are fucked.
So, who should I trust? haha, I thought about replacing the pin connector, but I'm not really an expert (you could tell from the bad soldering). I might have to ask someone to do it for me

Replacing the connector won't work if the box you circled has no continuity to the missing pin on the sd card flex connector.

Thats what I despise about the V1 n 2019 model:
The flippin microSD connector.

Got a Lite, so I never have to worry about it again (is hardsoldered here).
Even the OLED has it firmly on board now.

What a joke.
Worst SD Connector on a Ninty device ever 😡

the sd card breakout points are documented in this thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/579623/

assuming there are no other faulty pins, it should be reparable by running a thin wire (preferably enameled/magnet wire) from one of the pads on the rear of the board to the corresponding pin on the sd card reader (both color coded here as black).

Hey! Thanks for your reply. But are you sure I should solder the connector you highlighted as black on the first picture? Shouldn't it be the orange one?

the points are not in the same order on the rear of the board as they are on the front; the top point on the rear is the one connected to the bottom point on the front.

Ohhh, okay. After checking out the connectors, it doesn't seem like something I can do on my own... Would anyone be willing to do this for me? I'd send from France, and pay the amount you think is worth.
