when I put the 1.17 firmware with the .dat which I downloaded here, it froze in Loading :-(

I turned it off quickly, and put 1.15 again :-(

You may have a hardware problem unrelated to the fake-killer firmware. Hard to say.

Did you use the Panasonic formatter to format your microSD card? Did you use "safely remove hardware" before you removed your microSD card? Did you make sure your games are in a "games" folder and not on the root? Did you leave plenty of free space on your microSD card for system files?

yup, all of that, umm my micro SD has been working perfectly since I bought it, I dunno what would have happened, but anyway I´ve heard that this only fixes japanese games, and all of the games that I´ve put on my DSTT are running perfectly, I´ll keep 1.15 for now, thanks for trying to help me you´re a nice person Bri

Yeh this one is for the fake carts. (It has the fake killer code removed from the menu.dat file)
However also works on the real carts.
So my advise is: Use it non the less.
Saves you head sorrows about possible killing the flashcart using the official firmware that contains killer code.

Step 1 download: http://download.ndstt.com/download/os/v1.17/eng.zip
Step 2 Unpack: eng.zip
Step 3 DELETE TTMenu.dat file.
Step 4 Copy the folder: TTmenu and the file: TTMENU.SYS to the root of your Micro SD card.
Step 5 Download: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?b2mq0rxaznm
Step 6 Unpack 1.17.rar
Step 7 Put the file TTMenu.dat which came out of: 1.17.rar on the root of your micro sd card.

So overal we NEVER put the file: ttmenu.dat from the official site onto your micro sd card.
Instead we place the one from the mediafire link because this one is safe.

So the files that should be
in the MicroSD card are:
eng folder (inside it has TTMenu folder and TTMenu System File)
TTMenu.dat which I download from this thread.

no, just ttmenu.dat (safe one) and ttmenu folder on the root of the mem card

leave the eng folder on your pc for deleteing

Using this, I was able to get 1.17 to work with the latest version of YSMenu on the R4 using R4YSauto.
Just out of curiosity ; how exactly did you that ?? The latest R4YSauto is using version 1.15 ...

I'm going to try to replace the TTMENU.DAT that comes with R4YSauto v0.0.2 (in dstt.7z) with the hacked TTMENU.DAT ... is that what you did ?
