Today Activision confirmed that 007 Legends by developer Eurocom (GodenEye 2010, Dead Space Extraction) will not only feature a mission from Moonraker, but it will also feature On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

So far that is two missions that not many people would ask for, however both movies do have some cool stuff that would make good video fodder and OHMSS will feature the movies snow levels as these screens suggest.

inb4 CoD: Modern Warfare Bond Edition.

Also as previously announced, the game will feature a mission from Skyfall which will be included via free DLC.

I'm looking forward to this game, Eurocom did extremely well with GoldenEye 007 & also 007 Nightfire. The different movies and themes fit quite well with what they have done previously.

Also the Propellerheads version of the theme is damn good.

Honestly, the only bad thing about Activision having the Bond license, they have the ability to add some influence to the game. If they feel like the Bond games should have more action and look more like CoD, they have the right to do that.

I guess a big thing why I haven't been a fan of the recent bond games, is it's more explosions than what should be in Bond stuff. Yeah there are explosions, but not all the time. Hard to explain.

This is a video game, they have to go with the action. Take all the action sequences from GoldenEye, Moonraker & OHMSS and you get many many scenes full of explosions!

Besides the recent GoldenEye didn't have that many if you go back to play it and it had missions that required more than you running in guns blazing and no doubt this one will have a mission from one of the films that require a different tact too.

Called it a while back. So it just leaves Connery's, Dalton's and Brosnan's levels to be annouced. My guess would be for Connery either Goldfinger or Diamonds Are Forever, Dalton's i imagine will be Licence To Kill and Brosnan, i would guess The World Is Not Enough

From Russia With Love is also a possible Connery title considering it did get a video game last gen. Goldfinger with Fort Knox seems reasonable though. My personal choice would be You Only Live Twice though with the volcano assault thing. I want a fucking katana and be James Bond.

Dalton, eh I dunno, never was really into his movies. Brosnan's is either Goldeneye or Tomorrow Never Dies most likely.

Craig's is Skyfall, right?

But the game looks alright but I have a feeling they're being cheap asses and just reusing the Goldeneye Reloaded engine which was just a slight HD upping of the latest Goldeneye game. Graphically it's kinda disappointing but I expect it to be fun.

From Russia With Love I couldn't imagine working due to its Cold War connections, taking a second to think i could agree on You Only Live twice because of the Eurocom trying to link 6 stories together here (YOLT being able to work due to the movie being the predecessor to OHMSS and the space connection with Moonraker)

Craig's is meant to be Skyfall in this game yes seeing as Activision have already got Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace out of the way with there 2008 game but according to the article Skyfall's content might be DLC.

I agree the package so far looks a bit cheap but as long as its a decent enough package i will buy, not sure about full price though

i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling

LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways

you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market

Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and using LLMs to generate NPC dialogue and even dynamically generated quests is something i'm sure is already happening

will just take some time for games made using those things to be completed and released
