Hacking 003 Error Question PS: I do not have it and Im not a Noob

I would like to know how you get the 003 error. Will you get it when you update to 4,2 with a softmod or with a hardmod. Will you get it from having pirated VC or Wii Ware??? WHAT CAUSES THIS ERROR????

If you got this error please post which one you had.

Could somebody with this error please upload a video showing this error.

nintendos site says that means u got busted with bad files on your wii.. so your screwed til the hackers find the work around

right but what are these bad files. That is what I want to know what causes this error to pop up pirated VC games, HBC, CIOS, Mod chip, etc. WHAT IS THE CAUSE!!!!

Concurring, out of all the forums I've been watching in regards to 4.2, the only times I've seen 003 mentioned was with modchips. The original WiiKey seems to be the common chip in discussion.

Don't update to 4.2 and you'll be safe

Correct. And this even goes for Waninkoko's updater obviously. Bottom line is that if you region hacked your console previously, do not update. There is no known fix right now for the #003 error.
