I'm not sure if this is my card's fault (I have a DS Linker) or if one of the games I got had an AP or something. But I basically have to keep my DS on all the time in order to play a game, because if I turn it off to save my battery, or to play another game, my save files will delete...
If you are getting format errors, then make sure you select the right save type before you play. Even though there is an auto option, it doesn't work well for some games.
If that doesn't work, make sure you get a clean or patched rom.
My DSLinker is working fine for the most part, as long as there is a patched version of the game I can still play it. The only problem is the minute I turn off my DS all of my save files are deleted. The only way I can keep my save file is if I don't close my DS....ever. It's fine if it's for a...
Some of the newer games still work on the DSLinker, you just have to play around with the save state.
It is dead though, which sucks. A new firmware would be really great right now.
It would have been nice if this was a point and click adventure instead of finding things. Something like Broken Sword or Secret Files would have made it a must get for me.
It was still freezing every now and then, but once I restarted the game it would work smoothly...until the next freeze. But now I'm on chapter 3 and it won't budge anymore. It freezes and restarting the game doesn't work.
I'm having the same problem. At first, I thought it just froze at the mailbox, but when I restarted it it went fine until the next freeze. It's a bit of a hassle restarting the game each time there is a freeze, but at least its still playable so I can't really complain.
Beautiful looking game...
I suppose the random freezes is a good thing. I can play Hotel Dusk to get myself ready for this.
If you own a DSLinker, you'll have to change the save type to Flash 2Mbit or Flash 4Mbit. I haven't played a lot of it yet, but it seems to be working fine for me. No freezes yet.
