Gaming Monster Hunter 3 Hype Thread!!

The combat of this game is usually the drawing point. The difficulty and frame management is part of the draw as well. Manual camera and lack of lock on contribute to the skill required to correctly hit the right spots on a monster. If you are not interested in investing time into the combat...

Gaming Monster Hunter 3 Hype Thread!!

Sounds good. Monster Hunter Frontier handled lag in a pretty simple way as well (delayed monster response for non hosts) so things will probably be good on Tri as well.

Gaming Monster Hunter 3 Hype Thread!!

Anyone tried a PAL Wii on the US servers yet?

Gaming Monster Hunter 3 Hype Thread!!

Works on PAL with the same usbloader or darkcorp setup as most NTSC users are reporting success with. I am using USB loader GX with hermes 223 (merged 37+38). Online service is unavailable until later today so no idea if online works and what servers you end up on. There is no PAL release yet...

Hacking Broken touch screen ribbon cable

The answer is yes - you can just replace the touch screen (by using something like http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.21907), although you will need to maintain the (usually?) black adhesive layer between the thick plastic of the touch screen and actual LCD screen if you want to replace...

Hacking A geood DS Lite touch screen replacement

Bumping this here dead thread because I would also like to know if there are any good quality replacement touch screens floating around online. The ones from dealextreme seem to be pretty hit and miss. Has anyone bought a replacement touch screen with good response? My DS Lite has touch screen...

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

A few, but usually they just forward a few ports and it's ok. But I think it occurs in other situations as well. So who knows?

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

I notice whenever I try to connect to one of your matches Toast, I get the disconnect error. Maybe I'm just unlucky.

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

Hey adart, thanks for the game, that was some pretty horrible lag we had going on there... I've got my Wii sitting 3 metres from the Wi-fi access point but I'm thinking of connecting it directly if it'll give me less ping. What's your setup?

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

After a match there will be a coloured circle up in the corner of your friend's entry in your list. It will be green, orange or red (I think). They indicate the speed of the connection.

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

Guys, it doesn't matter which regional copy of Brawl you have, online play is a direct p2p connection once a game is up and running. The random matchmaking is really the only thing that will be affected by a distant server, but the lag is too great anyway... Tips for decreasing lag/bad...

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

What, so I'm honorary Aussie then? (Not that there's anything wrong with that...) I've got everyone added except Rhygy and Toast, who I'll add when I get on the Wii soon. If anyone wants an easier way to see who's online, add me on MSN: dragon_ceasama AT hotmail DOT com.

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

Hey Mikey, that was a good match! Unlucky about the box explosion The lag was a bit of a bummer as well, but compared to some of the other matches I've had online it didn't turn out too bad.

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

Oh man, I don't even get random matches. I just get disconnected with the Error Code 86420. However, I've done all the port forwarding for the game and I can play friend matches fine. It sounds like I'm not missing much though...

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

Haha, you don't have to do that if you don't want to. It's just a coincidence that I've left the Wii running on Wi-Fi so if anyone on my list connects now, they will end up validated. AFAIK you can have any name you want on Wi-Fi regardless of how your friends input it. The same thing applied to...

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

That's odd, I'm the same here. Maybe entering the wrong name causes a problem? If you've got the time, we should do a little lag test if everything works out. I haven't played against anyone in Asia yet, but I tried America and it's like playing at 1/2 speed without the response time...

    Misc GBATemp SSBB Tournament =2=

Wow, these tournaments are shaping up to be really awesome! If the distance between NZ and the US wasn't HUGE then I would love to participate as well, but there is enough delay lag between US participants to warrant throwing in people too far from the mark... Maybe when the game hits the UK...

    Misc Australian Brawl Friend Codes

Hey, there are people playing in Aussie!? I'm in NZ but hopefully the distance means matches will be relatively lag free. I've got a strong connection with all the ports open. Csama 3179-5798-5203 I'll add everyone who's in the thread so feel free to add me too. EDIT: ADDED --------...

Wii #0529 - Dairantou Smash Brothers X (Japan)

Every mode works with no issues. Played 40 percent through Subspace Emissary with no problems whatsoever (no freezing or errors in movies also). Wiikey 1.9g Firmware 3.1E Previously used the 15% trick with the DVD5 version. No other modifications or updates since. ISO was brickblocked and disc...

Wii #XXXX - Dairantou Smash Brothers X (Japan)

No, that's not what I meant. Anyone who has downloaded the nuked release now has the first layer. If the second layer was released (or at least dumped somewhere) seperately, anyone will a DL burner (which SHOULD be practically everyone without an ancient PC) would be able to merge the two iso...
