    Corrupted Cartridge Fixer Release

Well I don't believe it. I ran the regular fixer one last time and after that Pokemon X just passed verification (twice). I'm not really sure what's going on, if it's actually fixed or there's an intermittent issue with that block of memory. And thanks again skawo. I might look into some sort...

    Corrupted Cartridge Fixer Release

I see, and thanks for the explanation. Is there any way, without playing exhaustively, to see what type of data is being represented in that area? (They look to be in the same region, lowest unfixable hash was at 0x2386d000, highest at 0x2388b000; US region cartridge of Pokemon X) I found this...

    Corrupted Cartridge Fixer Release

I think it's hypothesized there was a production fault with the batch of cartridges (well, the onboard NAND) that were made into Pokemon ORAS/Persona Q (released around the same time). Not that they're materially different in design from other 3ds carts.

    Corrupted Cartridge Fixer Release

Gotcha and thanks. My friend had to ship these to me, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't leaving a potential fix on the table with the reflow before I send them back. We'll be hoping the corruption is in an unused/infrequently used part of the game, like maybe a shiny pokemon or something. I'll...

    Corrupted Cartridge Fixer Release

A crash *will* happen, guaranteed? Even if the affected bits are part of graphics/music assets? In any event, I have kept rerunning it in hopes that it goes down. It's down to around 20 stuck hashes, but seems to be plateauing around there with subsequent reruns.

    Corrupted Cartridge Fixer Release

Thanks very much for this tool. I think we might be on the leading edge of finding out that 3ds cartridges have poor longevity. So it's good we have something that fixes (some of) them. It didn't work out for my Alpha Sapphire unfortunately, which I had bought at release and is probably part of...

Homebrew what are the possibilities with the newly found dsi homebrew injection?

Yes, for OP since nds cards are inexpensive this is a good option. But, OP knew that already and commenting like that isn't helpful. I'm also really not a fan of the preference flash carts are given here. They are purely inferior to a software based solution, and we can and should move past...

    Homebrew devkitPro/devkitARM help!

Funny, I was having the same exact problem (same OS even) a week ago. I would be curious as to the answer as well, as I did not find out a solution! In the realm of ideas, its either files missing there (in a 3ds_rules folder) or a missing reference to that folder somewhere on the machine, I...

Homebrew Official [Release] EmuNAND9 - Open Source EmuNAND Formatter & Manager

Thanks guys! Yeah, the problem was I didn't have the files from the other git repositories (seems obvious now, but the make file didn't throw any errors that it was missing stuff). I tried using the recursive pull from Shadowtrance first, and that seemed to work despite the concerns. EDIT...

Homebrew Official [Release] EmuNAND9 - Open Source EmuNAND Formatter & Manager

So, I've been having a unique problem. I've been hacking a friends' old 3ds, she bought a new one because she spilled water on, and broke the dpad. I assumed this wouldn't be an issue, as she mostly wants to play vc injected gba games, and that program allows use of the circle pad instead of the...

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

I got the same error, so I think the problem is with the nightlies. For the record, I got this for both the gpsp core and one of the NES cores (can't remember which) so its no localized to one core. Can't tell you the most recent working nightly, but I used instead the 12/1 nightly with success.

Hacking GBAtemp's Official List of Flashcart Dealers

I've been thinking of buying a M3i from SimplyMods, does anyone have any information on where they are based? Specifically in relevance to their proximity to New York.

    Gaming The Worst GBA games

I disagree completely, Golden Sun is probably one of THE best games on the console. Characters were weak - I'm willing to admit some of the main characters needed some more personality, but they were by no means weak. The villains on the other hand were much better (especially Alex, though you...

Hacking Help Finding a Reputable Site That Sells The EZ Flash IV Deluxe

The topic title says it all, I've been looking into buying an EZ Flash IV Deluxe, and almost all sites either just don't carry the Deluxe version at all, or it is very expensive. The only place I have found it inexpensive at is psxboy.com (for around 20$) and they give little detail, and title...

    Gaming Fire Emblem

Matthew, leveled to assasin can easily best Marcus, the reason being the one hit kill with a critical, and the fact that marcus is a terrible unit (one of the worst in the game), as he is a premote, he is strong in the early game, but terrible stat advances make him a terrible unit. Assassin...
