Hacking R4DS MicroSD Reader
I got the metal one with the black cap with my R4, and I haven't had any problems with it. It's pretty fast when plugged into a USB 2.0 port. I tried it on an older USB 1.1 hub that I have and it was super slow.- dei

I ordered mine on 5/31, 6/3 it was set to "shipping soon" and sat there for 2-3 days before I inquired as to why it hadn't been shipped yet. They said there were QC problems with the sku I ordered (1883) and they were testing it before shipping, and sent it out on 6/7. It took a few days to get...- dei
