    MAX8969 5.0V Output Chip, instead of 5.3V

Any type of 5V CMOS logic would dictate that a voltage greater than 3.5V is seen as a "hi" logic signal. So does the extra 300mV really matter that much? I can't say I really understand why 5.3V output is an industry standard. But I wouldn't imagine that using the 5V output version of the...

    Capacitor value

Yuck, thats tiny. Probably an 0201 package size. As for the value, 0.1uF is still probably a safe estimate. Probably wouldn't hurt to buy a capacitor kit with some different values. I wouldn't go crazy trying to find the exact value. If ya get it to work, then let it be.

    Capacitor value

If only one is missing, I wouldnt worry much about it. For the value, I'd guess these are 0.1uF caps. Couldn't tell you the voltage rating, but it must be fairly low if they have so many in parallel. If you can get a hold of a cheap caliper set, you'll be able to figure out the case size.

Hardware Need a little help please to identify "something" on an very old Mainboard.

It's what Latiodile said. Someone probably repaired traces on that board at some point. The soldermask encases the repair work, so that it's not easily disturbed/undone.

Please advice on how I may update the UF2 file in my R4S dongle for the latest atmos/hekate.

Looks like you just need to use a converter script to go from *.bin to *.uf2 Check this out... https://forum.arduino.cc/t/pi-pico-generating-uf2-from-bin/955306

    Strange DLC problem...

Not all DLC is tied to an unlock fpkg only. If the assets for the DLC don't exist in the base game or an update, then I wouldn't expect the DLC to show up. My best guess is that the missing DLC from the in game list require a fpkg with extra data (i.e. the needed game assets).

Intel CEO predicts that chip shortage will continue until 2024

You can recycle... But it only goes so far. Desoldering chips off of boards by hand is tedious and prone to failure. Improper handling off a board can cause components to suffer static shock and become useless. Improper storage of desoldered components can cause those parts to be affected by esd...

Hardware Switch Lite speakers not functioning after shell swap

My guess is that the headphone jack is worn out. Normally, the contacts inside the jack create a closed loop, so that the audio is sent to the speakers. When you plug your headphones in, the contacts become separated and the path to speakers is severed. Thus, you only have audio coming from...

Hardware Switch Lite speakers not functioning after shell swap

Do headphones work? Usually a metal tab (switch) makes contact when headphones are plugged in, and mutes the speakers. If headphones work, then you have a faulty headphone jack.

Gaming HeartGold cartridge turns off DS Lite & 2DS XL when inserted

I doubt its a cap or resistor. A broken trace wouldn't cause a short, so I think you can rule that out. Its not enough to do a continuity "beep" test. Look at the actual resistance across the caps and resistors. The caps are probably shorted because they are connected to 3.3V and GND. My...

Gaming HeartGold cartridge turns off DS Lite & 2DS XL when inserted

Sounds like there is a short present on the cartridge. Check 3.3V to GND and see if a short exists. https://akkit.org/DS/index.html

Hardware 2-3 hot components. Two shorts.

You have a short between VSYS and PGND, per the pictures you've provided. Pins 15-16 on the BQ are VSYS. Pins 18-19 are PGND. Your ground picture in post # 3 is incorrect. What you have labeled as GND is VSYS. The red area in the picture is PGND. I would try removing the coil next to the chip...
