    Taito Egret II Mini

It sucks so bad. I can't for the life of me understand that work isn't being done. It would be the ultimate emulation box for other emulators - perfect size, "transforming" screen etc.

Valve announces a new Half Life game, Half-Life: Alyx, for VR

It'll probably be an overpriced short "experience". Of course a female protagonist, because of diversity, SJWs and stuff. Oh well, It will be interesting to see if it is any good.

The Oculus Quest will soon have official support for playing Rift games

They just killed the Rift. Stating otherwise is just trying to defend af purchasing decision that does not need any defence. It was a fair option at the time if you wanted better graphics. Now you are more or less an idiot if you choose the Rift over the Quest.

Sega Saturn classic Panzer Dragoon will be getting a remake

More remakes. This is getting ridiculous. At least give us a full pack of 1,2, saga and Orta in one go.

Homebrew Question Is there a homebrew for filetransfer through usb?

Hi. I would like to be able to transfer files to my switch from my pc via the usb cable. I have tried to google for it without any luck, but perhaps I am asking the wrong questions. I use tinfoil for installing NSPs via the usb cable, but I'd like regular file transfer. Anyone?

I updated the firmware through that frenchsounding application and everything seems to work fine. Thanks for all the inputs. :-)

Alright. I will have to look into that. Thanks.

Hacking Can you disable Diablo 3 system update nag?

Alright, that's nice. I don't really know what banning would realistically mean. Since I use cfw, emulators and backups I really have no problems with not being able to play online. I still don't know how to, or if it is possible to get rid of the nag without upgrading. Can it be done?

Hacking Can you disable Diablo 3 system update nag?

I am on firmware 5.0.1 and I believe I did try to install it with "ignore firmware". I really don't know what it does? Does it remove the firmware or does it check firmware on switch and then game and just install it anyway, with a warning coming otherwise? I have to use a recent tinfoil...

Hacking Can you disable Diablo 3 system update nag?

But isn't Stealth mode preventing the game from connecting to the internet? My backup NSP probably has the update inside it, meaning that the update files are installed with the game - meaning that it does not have to sniff the internet? I don't know if it is so, but that's my wild thoughts. Do...

Thanks - I will try that, but then I cannot play local switch vs switch? That was actually my plan.

Hacking Can you disable Diablo 3 system update nag?

Can you disable Diablo 3 system update nag? I am running SXOS with firmware 5.0.1. When I start Diablo 3 a box comes up telling me that I should update the system firmware to proceed. I then get the option to start the game or update. I can apparently start it with no issues, but I am very...

Homebrew RELEASE [RELEASE] Amiga Emulator UAE4All2 for Switch

I have it up and running and it seems great. I don't know how to get .hdf files working. I have tried to do what was suggested - I just get the AmigaDOS screen. Any suggestions? Another thing - is there a way to not make the home button quit the emulator - it is easy to accidentially push. Is...

Nintendo's president wants to see post launch DLC for its biggest titles

I hate the fact that most of you guys treat DLC as the new normal. It fucking sucks. I want the full game. In a few years, if not already, you will look forward to the new loot boxes in Mario Odyssey 2. It's a bad fucking idea.

both of which work well in potplayer
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
amd is a bit cheaper though
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Cheaper and they are less stingy with the RAM not a big issue now but I can imagine in a yard or two things might be different
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Year not yard lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Interesting lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
