Hacking Wiinja v1 and 001 error via Disc Channel
Modded my Wii back in early 2007 when the Wiinja first came out. Currently I'm softmodded to 4.3 and I can load all DVD backups fine with Gecko, but I'm unable to launch any games from the disc channel without getting the 001 Unauthorized device error. Is it possible to bypass this with software...- JonoX

Hacking Disconnecting/Reconnecting DVD ribbon cable
I just took apart my Wii to have a look and get ready for a Wiinja install. I took out the white cable connecting the dvd-rom, but in doing so I also disconnected the ribbon cable at the same time (without pressing anything to disconnect it). i have that stupid connector on my gpu luckily it's only a 300w gpu so i should(?) be fine since all the issues are with the quad 8pin->12pin and mine is only dual 8pin

quite a tight bend on that 8pin->12pin adapter in my case, which is the worst case scenario, but i made sure it was fully seated after plugging everything in and bending the cable so it shouldn't come unseated by itself since i pre-stressed the cable
