    I think this is all bull until someone can proof for sure that this happens. The Lazer that the consoles use are no more different than the lazers in a normal DVD-rom drive on the computer! I don't remember anyone saying that those lasers degrade if you use any type of rewriteable media on it...

    im sorry but has anyone even CONFIRMed that this really happens? i am sure that dvd drive inside the wii is of the same quality as any dvd drive u can buy for ur computer and dont you dare say that using a DVD-R or whatever-+R degrades THOSE laser,,,

    i took of the casing to fix my loose mod chip, i used an object to press the power button, but i must of missed as i think i shorted out something beside the button and smoke came out. i thinks it was the power LED. now the wii doesnt turn on! please help!

    LOL!! That happens to me too..... really weird... if i leave my wii on standby mode(yellow led), and i try the play the game, it doenst work.... but if i leave in on off mode(red led), and it works! i think it might be the disc getting warped by the heat from the wii when its on standby mode

    there are two white and green screens. one of them just freezes ur game and nothing happens, u have to reset the other one, if u take the disc out and put it back it, it starts reading again.. which screen are u getting?
