Hacking WiinUPro - Pro Controller to PC Gamepad

A bit late on this but I just kept trying different vJoy controllers and it eventually worked. Thanks!

Hacking WiinUPro - Pro Controller to PC Gamepad

Been trying to get this to work properly on my laptop but I'm unable to assign button presses to a joystick button in WiinUPro. Key or mouse assignments work fine, but no buttons show up in the list when I set the input type to Joystick Button. I thought it might be something wrong with Vjoy...

Hacking WiinUPro - Pro Controller to PC Gamepad

How strange, I just started having this problem today as well. I think I'm finally going to break and buy the adapter since I love using the Pro pad on PC but don't have the patience to figure this out.

    Homebrew Skyward Sword Slingshot issue

It's not normal. If you use an aimed weapon in Dolphin, the shot goes nowhere near the aiming reticle even though it's correctly displayed where you are pointing. This doesn't happen on the Wii, though.

Hardware How To Replace NAND Chip?

Honestly, it's SO obviously been tampered with that I don't think they would replace it for free, regardless of whether or not 4.2 would have actually killed it or not. I haven't kept track of all the screws so I'm missing quite a few and the chip on the DVD drive has a couple of marks on it...

Hardware How To Replace NAND Chip?

I've had my Wii opened up so many times that it's very obvious it's been modded. Telling them 4.2 fried it wouldn't go over very well

Hardware How To Replace NAND Chip?

I'm fairly decent at soldering these days, I just never bothered to look into where the NAND is actually located in the Wii or what chip would be needed to replace it. Besides, I'm going to have to end up paying about full price to replace this Wii anyway if I can't fix it, so it's worth giving...

Hardware How To Replace NAND Chip?

Hey guys, not sure if this is possible but how can I swap out the NAND chip (or whatever you would call it) in the Wii? The one in my Wii seemed pretty buggy since the day I bought it (the system took very long to load some channels on occasion or would fail to load them at all until after...

Hacking ULTIMATE System Menu 4.0 Guide

Hey guys, I finally decided to update to 4.0 from 3.3 using this guide today and ran into a problem on step 4. Everything was going fine until it began to install the shop channel, and it gave some kind of error (I think it says -ret 1001 or 1010) and went back to the Wii menu. Afterwards the...

Hacking USB LOADER 1.0 by waninkoko

So a DVD drive is required to use this right? My DVD drive is broke so I guess I have to borrow a Wii to copy my games over

Hardware DVD Drive Clicking/Not Reading Discs

Well I think the thing is officially dead. It won't even accept discs now so I think one of the motors finally went. Gonna replace it...or wait for an HDD loader Thanks for all the replies guys Edit: Oops, never mind. One of the wires connecting the drive motor to the board came off...

Hardware DVD Drive Clicking/Not Reading Discs

Sorry to bump this yet again, but I think I've narrowed this issue down to whatever is putting resistance on the laser. I covered the laser with some electrical tape while it thought a disc was in and watched what it did when I tried to boot up a disc. It seems to get stuck exactly where it's...

Hardware DVD Drive Clicking/Not Reading Discs

Thanks, I might have to look into doing that, though I hope it's not the drive board itself causing problems

Hardware DVD Drive Clicking/Not Reading Discs

Already tried it, the only thing I managed was to get the drive to not even spin when backups were inserted I got it back to normal after awhile. I guess I could mess with it some more since it's not really a huge loss if I break it. Thanks to both of you for your responses

Hardware DVD Drive Clicking/Not Reading Discs

Sorry for the bump, but does anyone know for sure if the laser is supposed move smoothly if you drag it back and forth? I'm just looking for an answer before I order a new drive

Hardware DVD Drive Clicking/Not Reading Discs

Yeah I tried applying some grease and it didn't seem to make a difference and I didn't add anymore since I thought it could possibly leak somewhere and cause even more problems, but I've booted up the Wii and it works fine so I'll add some more. I also cleaned out everything that actually pulls...

Hardware DVD Drive Clicking/Not Reading Discs

I took the drive apart and cleaned everything out but that doesn't seem to have helped. I tried to slide the laser back and forth a bit to see if it was getting stuck on anything, and it gets increasingly harder to slide as it gets near the center of the drive. Is that normal? I didn't see...
