    Hacking Acekard 2i 3DS 3.0 update out

You put the .nds in the root of your SD card, and then run it like a game (press A). Maybe it's just been a while, but the readme has some instructions I don't recall for DS and DSL users: "If you're using ak2ifw_update_3ds30_DSi143_onDSL.nds on your DSphat or DSL, please eject your AK2i and...

    Hacking Acekard 2i 3DS 3.0 update out

(Apologies to the mods, but I know a lot of people have been waiting for this.) Firmware update is out with support for yesterday's 3DS update: http://www.acekard.com/download.php#ak2i

Hacking Acekard 2i and supercard dstwo

Yeah, before this update Acekard had been pretty comparable to Supercard in terms of update speed. This wait has been irritating, but my only guess is this: When 2.2 came out on Mario Land, it looked like it was very much an interim update, as the big "November Update" 2.3 was expected any day...

    Hardware New Western Digital HD

Sorry, it wasn't clear to me from Mylar's post whether he was talking about this patch or some way to just disable autorun. The utility hides the partition and keeps it from mounting at all, which to me is significantly better than he made it sound. You just have to subtract the 700MB from what...

    Hacking Brawl playable?

Yeah, that's what I would suggest. I use Rev15 and Configurable USB Loader and haven't had any freezes in Brawl, although I admit I haven't played it for more than an hour or two since upgrading. I did go through and play the cinematics from the menu and they worked. If you find you still...

    Hardware New Western Digital HD

Just as an FYI, WD has put out a utility to disable the weird CD partition: http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/updates/?fam...rtwareutilities It doesn't reclaim the 700MB, though. At least not yet. "The Virtual CD manager currently only disables the VCD image. It does not remove it from the disk...

    Hacking Brawl playable?

You could also try upgrading to Waninkoko's cIOS rev15. Rev14 had issues with double-layer games, and I haven't had a freeze on 15 yet.

Hacking Themes for Configurable USB Loader

Hi milcoi, have you been able to figure out the issue here? I really like the look of your theme; pretty, classy, non-distracting. If it's fixable, though, I'd love to have the update.

Tutorial Modify ANY Wii 4.3 & below

Sorry, but what is broken about Rev15? Just because WiiPower says he's too stubborn to change his loader? From what I've heard it works fine with GX. Besides, it's Rev14 that's broken. It can't load Brawl or other large games.

    Hacking Metroid Prime Trilogy

I'm pretty sure the "alt dol from disk" feature in GX has dol offsets hard coded for each "alt-dol game". Since the Metroid Trilogy just came out, and there have been no revisions since, it wouldn't have offsets for this disk. Maybe that's enough to freeze the loader.

Wii #1476 - Speed Zone (USA)

Wow, after viewing the videos I was determined to bring up POD and Rollcage, only to find it had already been done, twice! Excellent job. If this is half the game those were it'll be awesome.

Wii #1466 - Super Smash Bros. Brawl (v1.02) (USA)

Maybe it fixes the incompatibility with Waninkoko's rev14.

    Hacking cIOS rev14 bug list

The in-IOS 002 error handling also broke compatibility with a number of games that didn't need it. Which is why rev13a was recommended over the others, as it was the first without the 002 fix, and the first that made some previously non-working games playable. Increased speed and compatibility...

Hacking Brawl workaround help: installing rev10 as IOS222?

Waninkoko's rev14 sounds great, but the whole Brawl being left unplayable thing is a big problem for me. (It's confirmed that it's not just the intro video that locks up, right? The single player campaign is also rendered unplayable because of the videos?) As a workaround I'd like to install...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

Bwaa?? Someone who has 222/223 and House of the Dead 2&3, Metal Slug Anthology, or Sam & Max want to test this? Edit: the MotionPlus videos in the recent MotionPlus games would be a good test, too, I guess.

    Hacking USB Loader GX

Put the alternate .dol in the root of your SD and name it [6-letter game code].dol There may also be a .dol load option in the game settings. I'm not at home so I can't check. Otherwise, after you do that you run the game normally and the loader knows to check the SD for the .dol first before...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

It won't have any effect on those games, unless maybe if you only want to see the movie and not play the game. It's not "IOS reload support", it's "alternate .dol support". You can load a .dol other than main.dol, which for some games (like Mortal Kombat and SSX) allows you to skip over the...

    Hacking Questions about Hermes' cIOS

Why would you even suggest using 36 for some games and 36+38 for others if you can just use 36+38 for everything? What is the downside of using 36+38? Does merging 36 and 38 support Rock Band instruments? WiiSpeak? Waninkoko based his latest cIOS off of 38, but some people complain that it...

    Hacking Questions about Hermes' cIOS

From what I can gather: The typical Hermes install puts his cIOS36 in IOS222 as a rough equivalent to Waninkoko's cIOS36 rev10, but with a HDD sleep fix. It also combines cIOS36 and cIOS37 into IOS223, which adds support for USB peripherals. I think the latest version is always considered...

Hacking How are Motion Plus games handling?

No, opening or closing the face of the club like that is for fading and drawing, and works fantastically. It appears that this game has removed the old top/back spin control in favour of more realistic spin effects brought on by club choice and shot type. And I could swear that if you swing like...
